( robin ) police in vallejo are looking for the man who broke into a family's home, and snuck in the baby's room before making off with thousands of dollars worth of electronics. the vicitm's sister says the burglar broke into the home on cotta way sunday morning. the burglar is seen quickly sneaking into her nephew's room while the 1 year old is resting..his 4 year old sister and mom were also fast asleep at the time.. it appears the man came in through the back window after destroying the screen. she says the man targeted the home after her sister's husband left to go for a morning run. when he returned he noticed the surveillance cameras had been tampered with and things were missing..

so glad that they're safe. >( robin ) vallejo police are handling this investigation. the man stole a phone, mac books, headphones and an ipad.. the burglar apparently left behind some gloves which could be used to identify the suspect through d-n-a testing. ( robin ) in the south bay... police in los altos are warning people to be on the lookout for a driveway repair scam. they say the scammers are targeting elderly residents-- offering to repair driveways. they will give victims a verbal estimate-- without a contract. the work is then done with low grade materials to complete a sub par job. the scammers then demand a cash-only payment that is significantly larger than the original estimate. police are now warning residents to be aware of these types of workers going door-to-door. his wife to the ground. several groups and now even the mayor of san francisco are weighing in. kron 4's dan kerman has the latest. the calls for punishment against larry baer are mounting following this very public physical altercation between the giants president and his wife.monday san francisco mayor london breed issued a statement saying "major league baseball needs to send a message that any and all acts of violence against women is unacceptable....while mr. baer has apologized and expressed remorse for his behavior, it does not excuse his actions and it does not erase what transpired. the mayor's statement follows a letter written to major league baseball on friday by a bay area coalition advocating an end to violence against women. sot andrea shorter/do what's right mlb coalition :34we want to make sure as we move forward this doesnt get swept under the rug or they want to move past it and pretend it didnt happenin the letter titled do what's right mlb, the coalition calls on the commissioner to issue a 1.

homeless people who live in their cars in oakland. the program will open overnight safe parking lots. each site will feature an on-site security guard, portable toilets, hand-washing stations, drinking water, and security cameras. alameda county supervisor wilma chan spoke with us about the program. ( robin ) officials say there are 27- hundred homeless people in oakland, including 19-hundred who don't have any shelter at all. participants in the program must sign a code of conduct and must leave the parking lots by 8:30 each morning. she said they can bring their vehicles to the lots between 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. each night. year since police fataly shot stephon clark in sacramento. he was shot after his cell phone was mistaken for a gun. kron 4's sacramento bureau reporter ashley zavala shows us how his family and activists are honoring him. ago but you can't kill a movement."the group called on state lawmakers to pass ab392, which allows police to use deadly force only when absolutely necessary. they're also urging for legislation requiring evidence from officer-involved shootings to always be presented to a grand jury for the public record it provides....something sacramento's district attorney chose not to do. 268 cases what was reported last week. fifteen u-s states are reporting measles cases. that includes washington state, which has been dealing with an outbreak since january. cases have also been reported in california-- and right here in the bay area. in all of 20-18, the c-d-c reported 372 cases of measles in the u-s -- which was the second-highest number of cases in more than 20 years. look at the new lineups for the giants and a's. but what do you do when you're not at a game... or if you're not even a big baseball fan? kron 4's ken wayne flew to arizona to find out. it's time to pack up... and take off.winter weather just didn't seem to want to leave... and getting out of the bay area in our small cessna meant dodging rain the time we reached the central valley the rain was gone.and finally over the high desert near mojave... it was mostly sunshine.and in arizona... clear enough for a fly by of the giants ballpark.... scottsdale stadium... and hohokum stadium in mesa for the a's.on the ground at scottsdale the busies time of year at this field.:31

greg gibson/signature flight supportballplayers come though here. team members come through town. but the big attraction is people from all over this country come to scottsdale for the month of march and it significantly increases the business at the airport.the hotel was built in the 1950s, 1956 i think. they have some nice little mirrors going wife and i checked in at the valley ho resort... a dog friendly place where mango was welcomed with his own bed and treats.we get a tour from concierge and hotel history buff ace bailey. 1:00ace bailey/hotel valley ho this is where it's said robert wagner and natalie wood had their first wedding reception. the hotel has been restored to its former glory... with a hip sure to check out their spring training milk shake.the two of us couldn't finish this is old town scottsdale, basically. camelback mountain, over there. in the next few days we're going to explore this area beyond the confines of the baseball stadiums.from first base to fine art.home plate to home cooking.butterflies and cactus... and a room made out of old redwood water pipes. there's a hunka hunka burnin' love hiding under the burning sun of arizona.we're also going to find out why one of the most popular baseball themed restaurants in the country... don and charlies... is closing.there's a whole

( robin ) we will have more on ken wayne's spring traingin trip through out the week. the giants begin their regular season on march 28th in san diego taking on the padres. the a's also begin their season on the 28th. they will be at home in oakland taking on the angels. ( robin ) the grand opening of the new chase center is now less than six months away. and we now know who will be performing first when the venue opens in september. the kickoff concert at chase center will be bay area favorite metallica and the san francisco symphony on september sixth... you might think that metallica and the symphony are an odd pairing but back in 1999 they teamed up to make an award winning album. several members from metallica were at a news conference to say they
