motorcycles has passed away. the company announced today-- the 79-year-old died while surrounded by his family on friday. this is video from a story kron-4 did with arlen ness back in 2007. he is known for his customized motorcycles-- and the company operates out of a huge show room in dublin. the ness family says arlen had been battling an illness. (vicki) developing news tonight... the wife an east bay school principal could now face murdercharges. 45-year-old paul shatswell died yesterday after being shot in the head at his home last weekend. he had been on life support ever since the shooting shatswell was a principal at pittsburg adult education center. right now his wife, 39-year-old maria vides,

is charged with attempted murder. but those charges could be upgraded. she is being held on 2-million dollars bail at the contra costa sheriff's office jail in martinez. the couple have 8 children together. (vicki) in san francisco, a woman's body was found this morning along the beach at fort funston... in the same spot where a 22-year-old was buried under a landslide a month ago. kron 4's charles clifford has details. around 8 monday morning the body of a female was found along the beach here at ft. funston. the remains were found about a mile north of where i'm standing here at the main parking lot of ft funston. now, the body has not yet been identified but the remains were found in the same spot where a month ago on feb. 22nd, 22 year old kyra sunshine scarlet was killed when a cliff collapsed and buried her under sand. she was walking along the beach at the time with another woman and a dog. the other woman and the dog were partially buried but survived.the san francisco police department, the fire department, medical

(grant) (grant) a big national story we are covering tonight... michael avenatti is arrested on extortion charges. he has made a name for himself as the attorney for stormy daniels -- the former porn star who claims she had an affair with president trump. federal authorities arrested avenatti today in new york. prosecutors say he attempted to get 20 million dollars from nike by threatening to expose damaging information about the company. federal prosecutors in california are also filing charges against avenatti for wire and bank fraud. and according to c-n-n... attorney mark geragos is the co-conspirator in the

case. he has represented a number of famous clients-- most recently jussie smollett. (vicki) boeing has been under fire following two fatal crashes within five months involving the 737 max 8 plane, including the march 10th ethiopian airlines crash that killed all 157 people on board. (grant) now boeing is testing new software patches to prevent future crashes. meanwhile some american carriers are warning that flights will continue to be canceled as the new software is tested. omar jimenez has the latest. more than á370 planes remain ágrounded worldwideas boeing now tests software changes for their 737 max 8 planes.the faa grounded them áindefinitely after two of the planes crashed killing more than 300 people in total.áethiopian airlines is among the many anxious for answers tewolde

the satellite you can see the storm coming through now but another area of low pressure off the coast will bring more rain through will be partly cloudy tomorrow with a slight chance of a few showers. highs will be in the 60s. more rain will return tuesday night and into wednesday with showers lingering into thursday. dry and warmer weather is forecast for this weekend.

(2-shot/grant) you probably do not need to be told that the high cost of housing and traffic are two of the bay area's most pressing issues. (2-shot/vicki) but what may come as a surprise... is that when it comes to digging into theirpockets to do something about it, people might be more willing to tackle traffic over housing. kron four's rob fladeboe has the results of a new survey. it turns out many of those "for sale" and "sale pendng" signs are part of a disturbbng trend. while a growing number of people are leaving the bay area to escape the high cost of living here, even more are considering it. according a new survey by the silcon valley leadership group and bay area news group, 44- percent said they were thinking about leaving says

(grant) new information tonight about a shooting in walnut creek. police are searching for two suspects after an armed robbery-- that led to a man being shot. kron 4's sara stinson has the details.
