battling a 1-alarm blaze at a home in concord early wednesday morning, according to contra costa county fire protection district fire officials. at least one person has suffered a burn injury in the fire first reported at a home in the 3700 block of bon homme way, fire captain tracie dutter said. the fire has not been contained.

( james ) breaking overnight...city leaders in berkeley voted to ban overnight r-v parking.( will ) kron 4's sara stinson is joining us now live with more on the plan and what it means. contencious meeting last night - l ted to ban r-v's from parking on city streets between two and five in the morning....this went into effect immediately. city council did however agree
to create some kind of permitting system that would giving some r-v owners two week exemptions.people against the ban showed up to the meeting yelling, rallying and trying to tell city council their story.many people saying the only housing they can afford is living in an r-v or in a car...this is all apart of the housing crisis that the entire bay area is feeling.but as we've continued to cover the r-v ban in berkeley, city council tells us that the vast amount of people parking in recreational vehicles has caused a shortage of parking for residents and also a health issue.the city has received hundreds of complaints from people who work and live here.so after hearing public comment until almost 11 last night they finalized the decision to ban r-v's.many people were hoping the city would find these people alternative housing before the ban went into effect, but that didn't quite pan out. i'm live in berkeley, sara

( will ) new this morning...a man is dead following a shooting in oakland. it happened last night in the 1800 block of church street. the victim's identity has not been released. so far no arrests ( will ) another big story we are following this morning... the city of san francisco has reached a settlement with the mother of
mario woods. woods was fatally shot by police in the bayview distriict back in 2015. he was a suspect in a previous stabbing and when police approached him he refused to drop the knife that he was holding. but the lawsuit filed by wodds; mother claimed that her son never threatened the officers or raised the knife before he was shot. the amount of money reached in the settlement has not been announced. the settlement was reached just 6 days before a jury trial was scheduled to start in san francisco. new this morning... a man working for a ride-share service is arrested for berkeley campus multiple times. dwight way andtnmonths of investigating they arrested david indecent exposure ( james )(ááálandingááá) in the south bay. the
santa clara county public health department says an international traveler had measles during their week- long stay in the bay area. the person infected with the measles visited nearly two dozen places. here is a map showing the locations in the south bay. of those locations ... the health department says the person went to the mountain view walmart two saturdays ago --- march 16th --- between three and five p-m. the person then went to the hoover tower observation deck at stanford... then a palo alto poki restaurant... a sunnyvale c- v-s... and a safeway in mountainview. (ááálanding tagááá) symptoms of the measles include cough, runny nose, red eyes, fever and a rash. if you are not vaccinated and you start to notice any of the symptoms mentioned, the health department asks that you call your health provider first, before going there. if you just show up with these symptoms - you would be putting other patients at risk. entrance exam preparation academy in bradenton, florida... he took tests for students. in exchange for their guilty pleas... prosecutors are recommending 36 months of supervised release and fines equaling the amount they earned during their crimes. meredith will also testify if necessary. ( james ) a bay area family is upset after the attorney general's decision to not investigate after a 16-year-old girl was shot and killed by police. elana mondragon was pregnant when she was fatally shot in 20-17. she was in the car of a suspect they were pursuing in an undercover sting operation...when she was caught in the crossfire. the driver was later captured. last year... the investigation revealed there's not enough evidence to support criminally atthe car. but the alameda county d-a asked the state's attorney general to review the case to remove any doubt. xavier beccera elected ánot to if you hate the housing
situation .... governor newsom has announced a plan to try and help us out. the governor is hoping to put 1- point-7 billion dollars into housing in the form of building incentives, tax credits, including for home buyers and rent subsidies. the governor says the state is struggling to build 100 thousand new units a year when the state needs four times the amount. part of the new plan is to get cities to approve more housing construction. the plan would also withhold state gas tax money if goals aren't met. the governor says under the best of conditions it could take as long as 10 years to create 3 million new housing units to help solve the state's housing crisis. ( will ) what is the future for high speed rail in california? lawmakers got an update on the progress of the bullet train ... and what is going to happen about that crucial federal money which was cut from the project new high speed rail authority chairman is trying
to push the project from bakersfield to merced. the authority is fighting for the 3-point-5 billion dollars the federal government canceled for the project. regardless of the funding... project leaders say construction and environmental work continues while they await a response from the federal government. . look at this. a dramatic chase from sacramento to vacaville ... ended with the c-h-p helicopter pilot landing on the ground ... to help take down the suspect. you can see in this video ... the drive before his arrest. ali wolf spoke with the pilot ... for his first hand account of what happened. as a flight officer and paramedic for the california highway patrol's golden gate division, every day is a new adventure for richard jones -- and monday was no exception. jones was on a helicopter when
his crew began assisting officers on the ground were in pursuit of a suspect in a stolen car from sacramento.once the chase reached vacaville, the helicopter's camera captured the moment things intensified. officer jones can be heard on the video."it's gonna be a foot bail, driver's out now," he says in the video.as the driver crosses interstate 505, he ditches his car and runs into a trucking facility."we saw that he still wasn't gonna go easily and was resisting the officers," jones told fox40.the chp landed the helicopter right here and jones ran in to help take down the suspect."at that point, you just get in where you can to help out, whether it's holding a leg or holding an arm," jones said.
