crews breaking out the windows of the car to make sure nobody else was inside we will keep on top of this story bringing updates as they become available. we know officers are investiating and again we will check back out there as we get more details. wild weather across arizona today. parts of maricopa and pinal county hit by a giant wall of dust followed by rain and we had a thunder storm warning for a little while up in the north part of the state. and this comes a little more than a month after monsoon ended. no dust storms are not common after the summer months, they can happen any time of the year. here is a look at the blowing dust as it approached camelback mountain. the national weather service says a storm formed and the dust picked up in the casa grande and headed up near the i-10 and i-8 junction and moved into the southeast part of the valley. fox 10's kristy siefkin tweeted this image saying huge wall of dust moving up i-10

things started to get active this afternoon and the fox 10 viewer also capturing some video of the rain in maricopa. yup, there is the video posted on our facebook page by william valez , jr. you can hear the heavy rain coming down and trees and bushes blowing in the wind. the heavy rain reported in the east valley. fox 10's danielle mille tweeted this video from chandler saying it's pouring here and the power is out. downtown phoenix also getting the good soaking. so could we be in for more of the storm action tonight and possibly tomorrow? fox 10's dave munsey is live now with a look at the forecast for us. >> well, we certainly got a nice shot of it. very unusual this late in the season. the second of november to get a huge dust storm, maybe some dust kicking up, a dust devil could happen.

then all of this rain and then look at the rain that we have. it is breaking up a little bit out of the southeastern portion of the state. that flow shutting off a little bit. but there is still moisture coming in to the state, coming into the valley from that area. as we get down close, you can see inundated all the way from east mesa over to paradise valley over into the sun lakes area, apache junction, queen creek getting some of it up at deer scottsdale getting this. as we back off even the west side with glendale, surprise, those areas picking up some of this moisture as well. we take a look at it coming out of the southeast. casa grande, coolidge, eloy, maricopa, picking up some of that. we get a look at the city as it comes over the top of the city that last batch of moisture. there was a batch of moisture earlier in the day. the top wind gusts out of there seemed to be around 45 to 50 miles per hour.

is apparently going to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 37 miles per hour. avation weather warning, that is going to be in effect until 6:45. it's in chandler, glendale, mesa and phoenix what that is wind conditions, dust conditions. they take a look at it all and they make a calculation as to whether or not the airport can stay open so they are open. they are doing business but they are keeping their eye on the situatio a time. if anything should happen, we will let you know immediately. we will have more weather coming up. an 80 foot tree came crashing down in one arcadia neighborhood during last night's storms leaving an absolute mess this morning. we talked to the home owner where the tree was rooted who said he didn't hear it fall. the massive tree came crashing down into the street avoiding any homes but damaging and destroying eferl -- several cars. >> the first crusade they never seen anything like this and they

things. details of a one-year-old baby boy being so hurt he is now on life support has neighbors in surprise farms shattered. >> that's really hard but disgusting for someone to -- a one-year-old. >> this is the woman who police say is behind the child's injuries. the father's girlfriend. according to court documents, moreno called 911 to report that the baby boy was hurt. he was flown to phoenix children's hospital where doctors found very severe injuries. they told police he may die. moreno was questioned by police and denied any abuse. court records say moreno admitted to picking up the child and throwing him on the floor twice because he was crying and refusing to eat. today next-door neighbors tell me they saw signs something was wrong in the home. >> it was definitely dysfunctional over there. >> i showed them the mug shot and they recognized her as a woman they say they often saw getting frustrated with the young boy in the home.

snatching going on. >> when i leave out of the house in the morning to go to school, i just hear like just screaming and yelling and stuff. >> only wish now is that they hadn't ignored the signs. >> call the police. when i heard somebody screaming call 911 but i thought they were talking. >> doctors do not believe the child is going to be able to live through the brain injuries. that he sustained right now moreno held on a $200,000 bond. she is charged with felony child abuse. more charges could come if the child does in surprise, stefania okolie, "fox 10 news." one person is dead and another badly hurt in a chain reaction crash that involved the city bus in southeast phoenix. police teles pick up truck was driving near southern and 48th street this morning when the driver crossed into oncoming traffic hitting a kia. both vehicles hit a valley metro bus. the driver of the i cano, the innocent driver, die -- kia, died in the collision. the driver of the pick up truck

people riding the bus but no injuries. the police are investigating how this happened. a man is rushed to the hospital after a stabbing in tempe. police say his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend stabbed him this morning right near scottsdale road and continental. a few blocks south of mcdowell. a victim is now expected to survive. the suspect was detained and is cooperating with police. new leads tonight in a fire that destroyed a condo complex that was under construction in gilbert. tonight are released of two teenagers that police are hoping to talk tomorrow the fire broke out three weeks ago near guadalupe and gilbert. $30,000 in reward money is offered for information. fox 10's marcy jones has an update. it was saturday october 15 at about 7:00 p.m. when the condo under construction at 2:40 west juniper avenue went up into flames. gilbert fire and rescue as well as police are continuing the investigation and now they are asking the public for their help

suspects seen in this surveillance video. because so much time has passed since the fire, the arizona advisory committee on arson prevention is offering a reward of $10,000. atf offering a $5,000 reward all in addition to $15,000 in reward money by the home builders for information that leads to an arrest. that was our marcy jones reporting tonight. democratic vice-presidential nominee tim kaine speaking today in he delivered his entire campaign remarks in spanish. kaine told the crowd he feels donald trump would be a danger to the country. >> trump's vision is foreboding and divisive. so today i want for you to hear correctly from me that under the clinton/kaine administration there will be room for everyone in this country. >> kaine speaking this afternoon at the maryvale community center. democrats and hillary clinton

effort to help turn arizona blue this coming tuesday on election day. vermont senator and former presidential candidate bernie sanders will be back in arizona on sunday. he will be campaigning for hillary clinton just two days before the election. the time and location for that appearance have not yet been announced but we will keep you posted. melania trump campaigning today for her husband in pennsylvania. donald trump known for officen calling people out on twitter today his wife says she would like to confront on-line bullying of children if becomes first lady. >> it is never okay when a 12-year-old girl or boy is mocked, bullied or attacked. is it terrible when that happens on the playground and is absolutely unacceptable when it's done by someone with no name hiding on the internet. we have to find a better way to

we had a bit of everything and still do out there tonight. we had some dust, rain, lightning, wind. busy day. >> we will have to change the end of the monsoon to the end of november or something like that. it's crazy weather.

said. it's 66 degrees outside. the winds have picked up out of the north at 14 miles per hour. we do have some scattered showers throughout the valley and the state, of course. 62 at fountain hills. 63 in mesa right now. those are the results of the rainstorm bringing those temperatures down. you can see the moisture still there, in fact, still quite a bit of moisture behind that moisture that you are the valley right now so this will be expected to continue for a little while as the moisture continues to flow in. you can see from east mesa right through mesa down through chandler and up into paradise valley all these areas picking up this moisture the east side still getting it as it passes through the west. you get up and see deer valley getting a shot and then take a look at this moisture that's coming down. a lot of areas picking up over

and that is quite a bit of moisture and a fairly short amount of time to come in here and in fact take a look at this down by maricopa an inch and a half and then over here that's almost two inches of rain on the ground there. there is a little over an inch and there is almost two inches in the sun lakes area as well. so a lot of moisture coming out of this storm to kind of wash away all of that dust that we have been seeing. once again, that'she 1.9 in there. get a 1.3 down by eloy and two inches by coolidge in that area. and then take a look at it as that moisture really inundates the valley. comes through and everybody gets a little bit of a shot off of it. and more to come as we said because look back here, there is certainly more making its way through at this particular time. this is called the future cast. as we get you to look at the future cast, you see phoenix

moving out. very, very slowly through the night tonight. you can see hanging on through tomorrow morning. and then still a pretty big batch of it hanging around out there as it slowly recedes off to the east with another shot of it possible for tomorrow. take a look at the low pressure system. the high pressure system that's helping to bring that moisture up into the valley. still pretty windy with that as well. you can see those winds coming off of the much stronger high pressure system and get things going here. 84 degrees for the high today. and those temperatures still pretty nice. up in the mountains as well as you can see here with those 50s and 60s showing up. big batch of moisture through texas and through the east heading into the northeast. overnight 66 degrees with those scattered showers. 78, some cloudiness with a chance of rain tomorrow. and then clearing out on saturday through the weekend with some nice looking low 80s

tough to argue with carts running back david johnson's body of work over the last month. how about this? total yardage from scrimmage, 726. offense 488 rush yards. and 238 receiving yards. he was named the nfc's offensive player of the month. tom brady was named the afc's offensive player of the month. johnson has just been a joy to watch. we have talked about fantasy leaguers. this guy puts up numbers. game in and because he does so much. had kerun between the tackles. he can kick it outside with his outstanding speed and strength and catch the ball out of the back field. great on these toss plays where he hits the edge and turns it upfield. his ability to stop and go and that skip jump he has. watch this play. look at the hurdle and the stop and then look at the run. bruce arians of course ecstatic what this guy has done for the cardinals offense.
