right now... officers are looking for a driver who hit and killed a woman. it happened near boulder highway and warm springs. that's where 13 action news reporter yasmeen hassan is right now. and happening right now... police are searching for another hit and run driver who crashed into a fence and took
after being shot by a security guard, and this morning... metro is trying to figure out what led to the gunfire. police were called to the scene near durango and elkhorn last night around 7-30. all we know right now there was a fight at some apartments... but the dispute ended around the corner in the middle of the street where at least two shots were fired. the guard told police he felt his life was in danger. metro has not said if the victim was armed. people inside the complex told our crews they just got a new security team in november, and that all of the guards are either ex-police or ex- military.. and they're armed. police are also searching for 3 stabbing suspects right now. they say around 9 last night, a group of men got into a fight near las vegas boulevard and harmon. during the fight, two men were stabbed multiple times. they were rushed to the hospital, but we don't know their condition. the 3 suspects were last seen walking into the miracle mile shops. a woman dies trying to save her pets from a house fire..

(butted with) sara was my life, i loved sara, she shouldn't be gone now the fire broke out yesterday afternoon at the couple's home near nellis & harmon. neighbors say good samaritans had already saved the dogs from the backyard, but the victim didn't know that. firefighters rushed inside to try and save her, but it was too late. crews are still working to figure out what caused the fire. after seeing our news story on a skinny puppy at the petland store in henderson... a viewer reached out to us, saying she had similar problems with her puppy who was bought from the same store! 12.43.41 we only spent maybe an hour with the dog 44 actually and right away he had diarrhea

metro is expected to release new details in a murder investigation. early saturday morning, herbierto diaz marcial was shot and killed near lake mead and marion while he was walking home from work. police say it likely started as a robbery, and he died just feet from his home. metro hasn't made any arrests or given any suspect details, but we could get those this morning. the man who was shot by a metro officer, after police say he stole a car... is pleading not guilty to all the charges against him. the judge has set a trial date of june 21st for gilberto gutierrez. he was arrested on january 26th for auto theft, assault and weapon charges, and possession of burglary tools. metro says one of their officers shot guitierrez after he pointed a gun at him. gutierrez is being held on 500 thousand dollar bail. chopper 13 bringing you breaking news fast and first.. we just got to a building fire

potential vetting for the supreme court vacancy. that storage facility where people were living has now been cleared out. the owner tells us officers actually had to come down and force them to leave. it's an update to a story you saw first on action news. our cameras were rolling when police got to the storage facility near twain and swenson yesterday. a few weeks ago, a fire broke out there and investigators determined it was because people were living in the units. the manager issued warnings to 23 people telling them they needed to leave. 6 didn't comply. so that's when metro stepped in. "when the authorities arrived, did you panic? no, not really. i knew it was coming."
