after her boyfriend is accused of beating her 19 month old son to death. duarte jeremiah fayne is now behind behind br degree murder charge. pamela walker tells us-- she moved here with fayne and her two young sons from denver to start a new life. according to fayne's arrest report, walker was at work last friday... when her 5 year old son says he watched the boyfriend hit the toddler on the head... and then throw him onto the bed. 34:24/pamela walker/mom "i don't know how to feel-i'm just so numb- devastated." fayne reportedly told police that walker was responsible for the little boy's death. north las vegas police department is making some big changes-- after admitting mistakes were made that led to a suspected killer escaping from their custody. take a look at this video of alonso perez from friday. you see him bent over... twisting his hancuffs until it breaks. then he climbs onto a chair... and through the ceiling-- before fleeing from the police station near decatur and cheyenne. i wish it had not happened, but prevent it from happening again. the police chief tells us no one was monitoring perez for about 40 minutes. from now on, each suspect will be watched at all times. perez is now at c-c-d-c.. facing a long list of charges. right now-- police are trying to figure out if a man was deliberately hit and killed by a car. chopper 13 was fast and first over the scene near bonanza and

hit in the driveway of the apartment complex. they also got a call from someone who reported hearing what sounded like a person getting hit by a car-- then tires squealing. police have located a possible vehicle, but they're still searching for the driver. ahead today-- the stadium committee is meeting... to try and finalize the details on how the billion dollar project will be funded. according to the agenda... las vegas sands and the developers will be giving an update on the project. if they do get a funding plan to get everything approved by lawmakers. the stadium comittee will also be talking about a tax increase to pay for more police officers. the plan is to raise the sales tax by one-tenth of a percent. that's about an extra penny on every ten dollars you spend. committee leaders say spending on the strip could add an extra eight million a year to pay for more officers. the money would also be distributed to other areas of the community based on population.

"they are cherry picking statisitics to mislead nevadans about catherine and her time as our state's top
