without water for the next 24 hours... because of this water main break on the strip. gallons of water spilling out onto the roadway. this is an area where there is a lot of construction going on, which likely led to the break. the las vegas valley water district says they have the break contained, but it's not completely fixed. one person is fighting for their life after a fire tears through an apartment complex in iowa. officials say the fire began outside before spreading. firefighters say several people were trapped inside...but were able to get out safely.

general motors is recalling around 4 million vehicles because of an airbag software defect. the company said today that in rare cases.... the car's computers can go into test mode. that means the front air bags won't inflate in a crash.....and the seat belts might not work. g-m says the defect is linked to at least one death. g-m will notify customers and update the software for free. than 2-million vehicles. the rear hatch could fall on you unexpectedly. that's because some parts might be vulnerable to corrosion. the recall affects some mazda 3 compact cars... some mazda 5 vans... plus some cx-5 and cx-3 models. contact mazda to find out if your vehicle is part of this recall. if you've noticed your grocery bills are a little lower these days, you're not alone.
