start since february is expected today with overnight lows dropping into the low 40s and upper 30s around the las vegas valley, staying above freezing tonight. outside the valley, temperatures will be colder for pahrump and kingman where lows bottom out between 25 and 30 degrees. a freeze warning is in effect for those neighborhoods until 7 a.m. friday. high temperatures remain below average on friday with highs in the low 60s in las vegas. temperatures moderate this weekend with upper 60s; sunday will feature some more cloud cover as a system moves in for monday. look for more clouds on monday with the chance of a few showers. we're dry leading up to thanksgiving with temperatures holding in the upper 60s.

animals were found in their pahrump home. in all .. authorities removed 15 exotic animals... 3 african lions... 2 females and 1 male. one bengal tiger... 8 lynx hybrid cats.. one cervel caracal (care-uh- cull) cat.. a fennec fox... and a black panther. the animals were found living in conditions described by the sherriff's office as horrific. several of the cats were found locked in rooms.. where they had been urinating and defecating on the walls. jacki freeman and abby hedengran had the correct permits to own the animals. freeman faces a misdemeanor for animal cruelty. north las vegas' famed r-c pig farm is packing up their little gigs and moving to rural nevada. the farm will set up their new home near apex. roughly 8 miles from the motor speedway. north las vegas mayor john lee is thrilled.. because thousands of homes will be able to remove odor restrictions from their titles...

road crash victims. for the first time.. las vegas will hold a memorial ceremony for friends and family of victims. it will be held sunday from 2 p-m to 3 at palm morutary downtown near owens and main street. one person has died in a crash near flamingo and torry pines. now police are searching for the driver. according to police. the driver of a shelby lost control.. and slid into the center median. the shelby was then hit by a truck.. the shelby's passenger was killed... and the driver walked away from the scene. it is unclear if speed or impairment were factors in the crash. a unlv student was attacked from behind.. while leaving the campus library. now students are shaken up.. as police try to find the suspect.

going on in our campus just because, we stay here until midnight, one , two o'clock in the morning sometimes unlv police offers escort 24 hours a day and unlv has emergency crisis services available to students for things ranging from assault to health care. in national news this morning.. parts of southern university in baton rouge have been shut down... following a shooting on campus. according to school officials.. a 19-year-old man of the library. he is in critical condidtion. police say they are looking for three people in connection with the shooting. in a bizzare story out of oregon. new details are being released involving a man who fell into a yellowstone national park hot spring back in june. accoring to reports the man . completely dissolved in the acidic water. accoring to park officials.. 23-year-old colin nathaniel scott was looking for a place to soak.. he was in an unauthorized area.. when he reached

temperature of the water.. but fell into the spring. his remains dissolved overnight. the man who admitted to killing three people at a colorado planned parenthood last year is still not competent to stand trial. a judge has said robert dear junior needs to continue his mental treatment.. before he can head back to court. dear is accused of killing a police officer at two civilans. he is chared with 179 counts.. including murder.. and attempted murder. since the election.. planned parenthood has recieved nearly 20-thousand donations from vice president- elect mike pence.. only.. pence hasn't been sending them. pence has vowed to defund planned parenthood for years.. so people have been sending in donations in his name. and for each donation. a certificate has been sent to his office. his local planned parenthood has raised more than 25-thousand dollars.

dramatic fire at a pallet yard in perris. the 1/2-acre blaze has caused no immediate reports of injuries, and no structures were threatened, fire officials said. a local middle school student has decided to raise money for her school... after noticing their science textbooks were falling apart and out-dated. "this is why the thing is called science funding for the future, because it's not specifically for this class in this grade currently. it's for many different people like the 6th graders, 4th graders, 5th graders. all of them who will be coming in and using it so it's for their future."
