kwwl is in cali with the team. then...devastating tornadoes hit the lone str state. we have the very lateststn the severe weather down south.. welcome to today in iowa. happy sunday! as we take a live look outside with our...skycam. thanks so much for starting our day with us. i'm lauren moss. let's get right to stormtrack seven meteoroligist denice pelster -- who's tracking a major winter storm headed our way... denice? today will be the calm before from the north at 10-25 mph. mostly cloudy skies south with a next storm system. current thought is that snow and sleet will start to track into our southern counties after 3 am and spread north throughout the day. right now, it appears areas along and south of hwy 20 have a potential for snow, sleet and freezing rain. ice accumulation to 0.25" will be possible, especially from a

other seat... after the twister -- susan sorvenson surveyed the damage... debris smashed the windshield of the family's truck -- and another family's airlooms found their way inside... i looked at my husband's truck and this one is laying on the front seat of his truck... in the truck... through the broken window... and you have no idea who this couple is? i have no clue... today -- she says she'll try to find the photo's rightful owner as her neighborhood pulls together to rebuild... everything is lost is all superficial, youuknow? life's more important. a state of disaster has now been clared for portions of the area under the storm... we'll keep you updated on the latest out of texas -- as the situation

a tornado also touched down in alabama friday night...causing quite the damage. as cleanup efforts continue there -- a drone gives us a bird's eye view of tornado damage... but now today's concern is flooding -- following all that heavy rnfall in that area. meanwhile...mother nature is making things worse for a wildfire in california. fire officials say downed powerlines sent sparks flying... sparking the fire that has now burned through over 12-hundred acres... they say high winds caused the blaze to spread rapidly and move in several directions... prompting evacuations and highway closures... twfirefighters have suffered minor injuries -- but no other injuriris were reported. the fire is about 60-percent contained this morning... new and developing this morning one man is in the hospital after a shootinn in waterloo. police say the man arrived at allen hospital with non- life threatening injuries.. around 2 this morning. police continue to

now to decision 20016. republican presidential candidate donald trump takes credit for an obama administration plan to step up deportations -- starting next month... donald trump says the move comes after his regular calls on the campaign trail -- to deport more than 11-million undocumented immigrants in the enited states. the national raids will focus on hundreds of familes who have entered the united states since last year. according to the washington post -- the plan is the first large-scale effort to deport families who have fled violence in central america. the plan was quickly condemend by democratic presidential candidates -- but trump says the move was because of him... the other g-o-p frontrunner here in iowa will take to the streets of our state soon... according to a report from the des moines register... texas senator ted cruz will take part in a six day bus tour of iowa next week. calling it "cruzinno caucus iowa bus tour..."

idea... welcome back thanks so much for tuning in this sunday morning, whitney packebush if you are maybe trying to go the leaner route. and i like in an appetizer, that's kind of what we're doing, i like a satisfying appetizer. these are a great alternative to little smokeys or to even chicken wings depending incredibly simple just a really easy recipe. and i'm going to talk about an easy way to make these that takes the stress out of making a huge batch. so to get started, i have

turkey. it's a lot leaner, you can also use the ground chicken that you find in the freezer section. so i have a pound of binder. we're going to add a and pepper and then we are going to get our hands right in here. and that's all we're going are going to add barbeque sauce or hot wing sauce to this. and you add that sauce. and as you can see this is going to be a home whether it's for cookieu, i use mine for cake balls sometimes... this makes making meatballs so easy, they are all the perfect size, they are all the perfect shape and it's a lot less work. so i highly recommend picking up one of these if you do not have one. so i just smash it against the side a little bit and roll it sometimes if you're working with turkey breast it can be really really
