can you imagine climbing that thing. >> in way. >> we have blue skies here, it looks beautiful through philadelphia, it looks great in the poconos too. the conditions are wonderful. it has that summer camp look and feel in the poconos. snap my fingers and poconos appear and the shore appears. i believe that is the shore. i'm not sure. i think it is the shore. very dark and glummy and that is the reason. we have lots of rain that we have seen. you can see they are outside on the boardwalk and i just saw one person go by with the umbrella which was a very smart idea. you can see how wet it is and you saw it wasn't the poconos but we have got some glummy weather and that is what is going on right new through rehoboth beach. 70 degrees is wonderful. weather conditions like this, in the so wonderful. and we have seen a lot of rain, coming down. here's a look on storm scan three, over the last three hours and right now there is a flood advisory in effect for a section.
6:46 am
i will she thaw. it is heading over. through delaware bay, cape may county you'll be finding it in wildwood, this thing will be pushing off but that doesn't mean all of us are out of the woods forget something showers and downpours over the next several days we've got that front that stalled out there right now and that is what has led to up to 2 inches of rainfall and very, very quickly in this section of southern new castle county and northern kent county. this is going to be expiring at 9:00 this morning but still this is a week most of the time we don't see rain but when we see rain we will have a chance of seeing a lot of it coming down in a pretty quick period of time. seventy-two the temperature right now in philadelphia. seventy in trenton. seventy-two in wilmington. we have 58 up in the poconos. still cool up there. now, today temperatures will get in the 80's. yesterday we will stay in the 80's. we have never hit that 90-degree mark. there were no complaints. just arbitrary almost a heat wave of three days of 90 plus.
6:47 am
we had two definitely. then yesterday we fell 2 degrees short of it, which is fine. today we will be about the same temperature as yesterday which was 88. we could be 86 to 88 degrees. we've got this front just stalled out here and this is a focusing mechanism for those showers. then tomorrow we will get forward and northward as a warm front and more shower and or thunderstorms can be breaking out. on monday, once gannon tuesday as well as we watch the approach of another front. we are back in the heat on tuesday but the showers thunderstorm chances also continue. here's our future weather if it were completely right it would have this a little bit more over here, that is why when you see hit in one spot, is it 20 miles, 40 miles off? you get the idea. the idea is that showers have been going by this morning and there called could be more that go by, again here is a look north of the atlantic city this computer model says at 1:00 this afternoon we will get downpours. could that be adjusted to the
6:48 am
south a couple miles? just kind of make sure that you think about that as you are outside today. 6:00 o'clock we have got heavier rain showers that will be spotty and coming up and a lot of them north of i78, that may be an area thaw find through allentown area that is an area where you'll find some showers out there and heavier downpours, this is another look at 9:00 o'clock tonight where we have heavier rain to the north, we will keep that going at midnight, by the time we will get to 5:00 o'clock tomorrow morning are there a few showers associated with the shore area scattered about throughout the afternoon this is just unfortunately what the trend thinks week. if you want the rain we will probably be seeing a good bit of it this week. probably everybody gets an inch and there could be spots with more than that. tomorrow tuesday, we have also got showers. wednesday i think during the day we will basically dry out but today 87 degrees,
6:49 am
scattered showers, 78 at the shore. poconos eight two. might find a thunder storm up there even with the wind out of the south at 5 miles an hour. tonight 70 degrees and heavy downpour not out of the question and not out of the question on monday and tuesday either and then wednesday i think during the day we should be dry but the way it looks right now we will be back with wet weather again wednesday night, thursday, friday should be dry saturday do we see some showers? yes. just something to monitor all week long. at least temperatures are undually hot todd? >> bit of the stormy week ahead of us, thanks, carol. time to check the road lets check with ann evans in the cbs-3 traffic center. >> good morning to you todd. ben franklin bridge is what we are looking at now it is closed to day you can see bike will list for the bicycle event for american cancer society. look at them, wow great cause and ben franklin bridge is shut down until around 8:00. we will keep you posted. take walt whitman instead. moving traffic cam here to the schuylkill expressway,
