relatively okay note but you said it best, that humidity is what starts to real make things a little bit more uncomfortable. it's not oppressive, it's august, it's not like we don't expect this but the kind of humidity levels we're dealing with, oh, it's so comfortable outside. i will say however you notice that sunshine s it is definitely heating things up here at the surface with no problem. so, we definitely have that august warmth with us out there, just not so much humidity. taking a quick weak peek outside at some of our neighborhood network camera shots we start up towards the pocono region, not quite there but in the carbon monroe county area, there's a couple of patchy clouds overhead, currently 80 degrees and nothing but umbrellas as far as the eye can see with a picturesque beach day at rehoboth. up and down the jersey shore and the delaware beaches it was absolutely beautiful right now. nothing but a clear sky on storm scan right now. so let's move it forward. we take a look at the area temperatures as they stand. mid 80's pretty much is where
we're topping off. 82 at the airport, but yet again we don't have the humidity so savor this while you have it. it's one final afternoon of this before things do begin to go at least a little bit downhill. and eventually we will see some heavier rainfall chances and it does come in time for the weekend. so, we'll talk about which day the weekend guys a little later in the show looks the wettest and also maybe a few changes to the weekend outlook a little later on. >> katie thank you. a jock pot in the weather department today and another jackpot is going up once again. >> nobody hit all six powerball numbers last night which means we also have a shot at winning. here are last night's winning numbers, 12, 30, 36, 47, 62 and the powerball is nine. jackpot is now up to $356 million. oh, all the things you could do with that. the next drawing for the powerball is on saturday. but first we have another shot at winning big again. the mega millions drawing is tomorrow night. that jackpot is up

>> yesterday you said it would be a perfect day and it was. today a little more of the same. it's a little more hot. >> definitely a little hotter. the dewpoints are still really low. we got to keep in mind the sun angle is still very much -- it's strong, put it that way so i'm standing out on the sky deck wearing my black dress and i'm like, whew. that quickly. didn't take long. so, expect that. but it doesn't feel oppressive outside. definitely a difference. >> really nice. >> exactly. bingo. these kind of humidity levels you don't typically get them throughout the span of time
during the month of august. it is still an absolutely beautiful beginning to the afternoon here. so, keep in mind that eventually if things do start to go south so for now enjoy this. let's take you outside and start things off with a quick view outside the musikfest festivities going on in bethlehem. this is main street in bethlehem where just from high atop hotel bethlehem things are looking beautiful. should be a nice afternoon and evening and if i'm not mistaken the big act today is toby keith out at the sands casino plaza there so should be a really good show and really great weather for all the fans that will be tailgating for all of this and anything else that you have going on here today, you are fine. it looks absolutely stellar. not just in the lehigh valley but really everywhere else. i mean, the radar, there's a look of anything on it that really tells that story. off to the west we have some heavier rounds of rain actually rolling in toward the spine of the appalachians and it's tough to tell by looking at this map, in fact as i zoom out you'll see a little bit
clearer perhaps but there are two separate front that we sort of sit between here. now, these are basically putting us in a squeeze play but technically high pressure is still on our side. we are however going to see more unsettled weather unfold. you can see how it's been rolling towards us in the last couple of hours and really the last day and a half or so. so, eventually it does turn south in that regard. the current dewpoint is only 59 after all and remember that golden rule, the lower the dewpoint, the drier the air. in short, the more comfortable it will feel to you. and since we're right on the edge of pleasant and not bad i highlighted both of them for you but with time even as early as tonight it may start to feel just a little stickier. rahel said it. it's august. it's not like this atypical. >> at the airport nice calm wind. the wind direction starting to shift a little bit. as that wind turns more southerly as it will continue to do throughout the rest of the day it may not be a super breezy day but that wind flow is sending in warmth and
humidity but we're also starting to heat up that water temperature at the shore so this is one of those picture perfect beach days. enjoy it. water temperatures in the mid 70's, a couple outliars like sea isle. lots of sunshine for you throughout the rest of the afternoon and averaging out at about 75 for that water temperature. not bad. the playground is also a great place to go. we're expecting a high of 87 degrees in philadelphia with the low humidity continuing and because you don't have too much of a heat index or rather the humidity to factor in, the heat index is also 87 degrees this afternoon. meanwhile looking forward in the eyewitness weather seven day, okay, i still want to allow at least a lingering shower on sunday but odds are good at this point especially the further north and west you travel that sunday stays dry so that's a bonus but saturday still does look unsettled. tomorrow perhaps there's a shower north and west. monday, jumping past the weekend, there may be in steadier rain that day, too. it all kind of depends on this
next disturbance and where it decides to track so that's key. we'll keep an eye on it and let you know as that becomes a little clearer. >> katie i think you'll like this next story because you're a stephen colbert fan. >> huge fan. >> anthony scaramucci will appear on the late show with stephen colbert on monday. >> colbert broke the news on twitter last night. now, the comedian did add this, it's just a heads up for our sensors to get ready. it will be one of scaramucci's first televised interviews since he was fired 10 days on the job. the fun begins on the late show with stephen colbert at 11:45 right after "eyewitness news" at 11:00 and stay up for the late late show with james cord dorn at 12:11:00 a.m. >> ent [ dog whimpers ] man: let's go! man #2: we're not coming out! man #1: [ sighs ]
