jay-z, not a bad look for tonight, saturday night. a lot has been accomplished tonight. much further to go. a big, big night for all of us, especially all of us here at the channel. not usually that we close out a saturday night with the king and queen of rap. >> pretty incredible. it was unbelievable. >> of r&b. >> of american music. >> of music. >> of universal and intergalactic music. >> the other thing i did note here, ending extreme poverty by 2030 sounds like a pipe dream and it is very much not. it is the stated goal of the world bank. it's a completely achievable goal. there is a lot of wealth in this world. a tremendous amount of wealth in this world, a tremendous amount of poverty, and we have it within us, we have it within us to end extreme poverty by 2030. there is transfers that need to happen, developmental issues that need to be worked out, but it is a doable, achievable goal, and a lot of the stuff you saw tonight just reminded you of how achievable that is. of course, you can get a concert like this pulled off in central park, it seems like we should be

able to get the train situation -- >> awareness is a huge part of it. and the beautiful thing about this, it wasn't just about buying a ticket and seeing your favorite rappers, favorite americans, your favorite earthlings, favorite rapper, sting, no doubt, you know, a cast of the finest in music. it was about, you know, it was about the issues. i will say, these kind of concerts usually you do not hear about open defecation as much as we have tonight. are. >> sometimes you do hear about it at concerts, but it's in different context and it's upsetting. >> but the issues were very much woven through this from start to finish for seven hours. it has been awesome. >> and you have all these commitments that are being made. i was struck when the norwegian foreign minister of the danish minister of trade and development was out here making commitment oss on global educat. those countries lead the way in foreign aid as a percentage of gdp. they're near the top ten or top
