chance of showers like we had yesterday. here's a live look outside right now. you can see the sun is already shining brightly. just a few clouds for us and our temperatures are at 60 degrees in philadelphia. humidity's at 78%. the air is calm so it will be a nice, comfortable morning if you head out early for a jog. 50 in wrightstown. 51 in trenton. cooler in chester springs, only at 48 degrees. 46 in quakertown. 53 in allentown. temperatures in oxford at 59 degrees, and along the shore, we're in the high 50s. 56 at avalon and 57 if dover. over the next eight hours, temperatures will warm up nicely pushing into the 60s by 7:00 a.m. by 10:00 a.m. 68. by 1:00 p.m. 75 degrees. and today's high, 78. i'll be tracking your seven-day forecast, coming up. today, hundreds of spectators will gather in manayunk for the annual philadelphia international cycling classic.

right now crews ss and organizers are finishing the setup for the event. jesse, what's it look like along the course right now? >> reporter: it's starting to pick up a little bit. but i'll start with a word of caution. if you have parked your car in this area you want to come and get it. the philadelphia police department is out here and they are towing. we'll put the list of street closures and enforcement up on our website and you can check that. but if your car is anywhere near this you might want to check with it. two tow trucks and one flatbed just pulled out a car a few minutes ago. we're by the finish and start line right here at the top of the manayunk wall. to get to this point, they'll have to conquer the wall. we drove up just a few minutes ago to give you an idea the steepness of this stretch of roadway. this is the last part of the 12-mile circuit. the amateur fun ride begins in a less little than an hour at 6:30 and there are some spectators that are up early this morning to check it out.

>> i know in the too many people are out this time in the morning. you always see people setting up you see the fences set up but it's always a good time like -- >> to get out this early and -- >> yeah. >> reporter: get a spot? >> exactly, exactly, exactly. >> and steven roman was out early killing two birds with one stone. he's scoping the course while he's walking his dog. we'll talk more about this course the prize money that awaits both the men and the women's winner coming up a little bit later in the morning. but i want to reiterate, if your car is anywhere near here you want to check on it because the philadelphia police department is out and towing. i'll update that also coming up in about 30 minutes. live in manayunk jesse gary nbc 10 news. >> thank you, jesse. new from overnight, a man shot during a robbery in philadelphia is in stable condition. nbc 10 was on the scene on north fairhill street where the shooting happened inside of the house around 11:45 last night. the gunman who knew the victim shot him in the leg and took his necklace and ran.

the shooter is still on the loose. in strawberry mansion, philadelphia police are searching for a driver who hit a young man and then took off. authorities tell us the 18-year-old victim was walking on ridge avenue when he was struck by a black car. it happened around 10:00 last night. the victim is currently in stable condition. former delaware attorney beau biden, was remembered by thousands yesterday from the president to everyday people in delaware. >> made opportunity to be a better person. isn't that finally the measure of a man? the way he lives, how he treats others, no matter what life may throw at him. >> funeral services were held at st. anthony of padwa catholic church in wilmington yesterday. the 46-year-old husband and father and oldest son of the vice president died last weekend after a battle with wran cancer.

both political leaders and residents of delaware say his commitment to serving the public will not be forgotten. >> it was our little secret the biden family but now the whole world knows how much everybody cares about them and how much they mean to us. >> he did a lot of good for our state and i think this is a loss that delawareans all feel very deeply. >> coming up in the next half hour, we will hear more from delawareans who paid their respects yesterday. on our nbc 10 news app, we also have an entire gallery of photos from beau biden's life. and i pray for her. i pray for her comfort and i pray for her family. because this is a very hard situation. >> this morning, a lehigh valley neighborhood is grieving for a 3-year-old girl who died after falling from an apartment window. the tragedy happened in allentown on friday night. the victim and her older sister fell more than 40 feet from the window to the ground.

nbc 10 was on turner street last night for the memorial vigil. people lit candles and brought teddy bears to the place below the fourth story window. 3-year-old tamara arnette died. her 5-year-old sister, tiana, remains in the hospital in critical condition. the coroner hastamara's death an accident. they do not expect to file charges against the girl's grandmother, who was on the scene. >> she would never intentionally put the girls in harm's way. >> it's very painful. the sad part about it is when i look up i can't imagine. >> police say their investigation revealed a flaw in the family's window. they said the screen was loose and even the slightest push would have popped it out. coming up at 6:00 you'll hear from a community member who is now calling for changes at the apartment complex where the family lives. let's head now to camden county, where the manhunt for a murder suspect is over after the alleged killer committed

suicide. police found michael eitel's body in the garage of a house in west berlin yesterday. investigators say he hanged himself. police began searching for eitel wednesday night after his ex-girlfriend, carol browne was stabbed to death right in the driveway of her house in berlin township. browne had a protection order against eitel. police in philadelphia are investigating two shootings, just blocks apart in point breeze. homicide detectives believe they may be related. the first happened yesterday on oakford street near 23rd. someone shot and killed a man right inside of a van. the second shooting happened last night at 24th and reid streets. police say a man was shot more than a dozen times there. he is in critical condition. police have made no arrests in either case. now to an update about an armed bank robbery in gloucester county. police believe that it's connected to another robbery in the area. yesterday morning, we showed you these surveillance pictures of a man pointing a gun at the employees of the fulton bank on bridgeton pike in harriston

township. the robbery happened friday night. the suspect got away with an unknown amount of cash in a gray shopping bag. police now believe the same man was involved in another armed robbery. if you recognize him, call 911. the time right now is 5:38. today, president obama and other leaders from around the world are in germany for the start of the g-7 summit. we'll tell you the global issue at the center of the meeting and how russia and ukraine play into the discussion. plus the crew on this boat had to jump overboard to escape a fire. we'll tell you about the rescue and why it may not have been an accident. and tornado-weary folks in colorado are bracing for even more severe weather. why forecasters believe mother nature could strike again. and here at home i am tracking a beautiful sunday. plenty of sunshine temperatures in the 70s. but storms return and also temperatures in the 90s are in your seven-day forecast. i'll give you more details coming up after the break.

good morning. it is a mild start as we head into this sunday. we are going to see temperatures pushing just a little bit below average. not quite as warm as yesterday, but a lot nicer with our conditions. 48 degrees in chester springs. 57 in kennett square. 60 in wilmington. 63 right now in washington township. we're at 41 in mt. pocono. 50 degrees in blue bell. right along the shore, mid-50s in avalon. 51 in millville and temperatures in dover at 57 degrees. today, we'll see a range between 77 and 80. yesterday's high 81 degrees. but today, sunny and nice. yesterday, we felt heavy downpours closer to the shore and even in philadelphia. it was short lived, but they were pretty heavy there. wind speeds out of the south, 5 to 10 miles per hour. and our average for this time of year is 80 degrees. so today we're going to be a little bit below that average, but as we head into monday

things will start to warm up. up to 84 degrees. and it gets even warmer than that as we head into next week. 90s actually return. i'm looking at the radar right now. quiet, but we have changes on the way. i'm tracking how this piece of energy is going to affect us as we head back to work. i'll go over all the details in my full forecast and your seven-day forecast in about ten minutes. a new federal report reveals that new jersey officials did not properly award $60 million in hurricane sandy contracts for storm repairs. the watchdog report from the department of housing and urban development or hud says that the state did not prepare cost estimates. according to the report, those estimates were actually $9 million less after the deal was signed. the report recommends new jersey officials repay some of the money to hud. governor chris christie office has responded to the claims admitting that the report raises issues that quote, don't square if the facts. a pennsylvania man who accidentally fired a gun during

geico motorcycle great rates for great rides. president obama is in georgia this morning for the start of the g-7 summit. germany chancellor angela merkel greeted the president as he arrived in the bavarian alps. global economics will be the main focus of the annual summit but russia and its apparent aggression in ukraine is also expected to be on the agenda. the group of seven kicked russia out last year after it annexed crimea from ukraine. scuffles between police and g-7 protesters broke out in germany yesterday. hundreds of demonstrators tried to break through police lines. officers responded with pepper

spray and made a number of arrests. the demonstrators accused the g-7 nations of trying to dominate the world. now to decision 2016. donald trump says a lot of people will be happy with his upcoming decision about whether to run for president. trump told north carolina's republican convention that he will make that decision in new york on june 16th. the real estate mogul and reality tv star flirted with a white house run in 2012. we have some new information this morning about gunfire in a church in western pennsylvania. a 20-year-old man whose gun went off in his pocket during an easter mass is now facing reckless endangerment and other charges. he was attending the church service in altoona when the bullet graced him. the man's lawyer says his client did have a permit for the weapon. new this morning, in new york, an arson squad is now examining a boat that caught fire off the coast of long island. the flames forced the crew

overboard. the three men on the boat noticed smoke coming from the engine compartment last night. they tried to put it out with a fire extinguisher. when that didn't work, they told police they put on life jackets, jumped into the water and called 911. police pulled them out just minutes later. no word on a cause, but the arson squad is participating in the investigation. now to some new information from china, where the death toll from a cruise ship disaster on the yangtze river has now topped 430. we have new video of the rescue workers and government officials mourning the deaths during a spoken today. about three dozen people are still missing. the ship capsized in a storm this past monday. authorities have arrested the captain and first engineer who received a warning about the weather before the disaster. in south korea, a fifth american has died from an outbreak of middle east respiratory syndrome or mers. people at this airport are wear masks as a caution.

south korean hospital officials report that 50 people are infected with the virus. mers can cause fever, breathing problems, pneumonia, and kidney failure. back here in the u.s. searchers in texas have found another body they believe is related to the floods that happened memorial day weekend. the man was discovered near the blanco river yesterday. crews are still searching for three people missing in that area. at least 23 people across the state have died in the floods. residents on mexico's baja peninsula are boarding up businesses and homes in preparation for hurricane blanca. the unpredictable storm strengthened from a category 1 to a category 1 and weakened slightly yesterday. it's expected to keep getting weaker making landfall as a tropical storm tomorrow. the more severe weather is in the forecast for colorado which is already reallying from inging inging inginging from tornadoes, heavy rain that struck thursday. twisters damaged two dozen houses south of denver. forecasters are now warning

residents that conditions are ripe for more violent storms across the central plains. good morning. temperatures today a few degrees cooler than what we saw yesterday and just slightly above average, but it is going to be beautiful with temperatures in the high 70s. storms are going to return to us as we head into tomorrow. so as you're heading home from work or a little bit before that, in the early afternoon. also, 90s return this week. so we are going to warm things right back up. right now, take a look outside right now. beautiful conditions. you can see the sun is shining brightly. a mix of sun and clouds in philadelphia. temperatures at 60 degrees. so it's already a mild start, if you plan on heading out early for a morning jog or a morning run. across the rest of the region it's a bit cooler if you're in atlantic city at 51 degrees. 54 in reading with a mix of clouds. no clouds for atlantic city and a closer look at our right-now conditions, only in the 40s for the poconos, 50 in pottstown, 52 in coatesville. 57 in kennett square.

53 in washington township. temperatures in trenton in the low 50s. 56 in avalon and 61 degrees in lewis. for a 24-hour temperature change map shows that we are down 9 degrees in allentown, down about 12 degrees in pottstown. we're 11 degrees cooler in millville, 8 degrees cooler in atlantic city, and down 7 degrees in mt. holly. our radar shot shows quiet conditions. big difference from what we saw yesterday, with those really isolated, short-lived downpours, some heavy at times, especially right along the shore. next up we are going to be tracking part of this energy moving towards us. so here's our futurecast. it shows we'll see more of this energy and moisture strengthening and heading our way as we go into monday. so monday evening, it looks to be when this is going to organize itself. this will come in the form of thunderstorms with heavy downpours, gusty wind speeds. by 6:00 p.m., as you're heading home from work we could see all of this moving into allentown, just to the north of

philadelphia. newark new castle county. continuing on and off throughout monday night. and once again, another round of showers on tuesday. so monday looks to be a little bit more severe with thunderstorms than tuesday. but you'll definitely still need your umbrellas as tuesday rolls around. sunny and nice conditions for us today. a mix of sun and clouds. wind speeds out of the south 5 to 10 miles per hour. philadelphia getting close to 80 degrees. cooler right along the shore 70 degrees the high today in the poconos. and your range between 77 and 80 sunny and nice. seven-day forecast shows that we are going to see much warmer weather on the way. so as we head into monday we already start to warm things up 84 degrees. take a look at tuesday, 85 with showers. then we have two chances to hit 90 degrees thursday and friday. hot and humid, with another chance of showers returning on saturday. from our delaware bureau a reminder, if you like to fish and you like it free you can get in on the action today. you can katzcast your lines in several ponds in the state
