>> it's quiet. >> reporter: it's the story behind this fight that makes this video more interesting. we found out the man being dragged on the ground was report thely seen hitting a car but didn't stop. the aggressor is a 29-year-old man who says he saw the hit and run and tried to stop the driver. he caught up to him on rip ka street. >> you couldn't get down the block. at least half a dozen to eight cop cars. >> reporter: the fight unfolded outside trey's house. we showed him the video for the first time. >> see how it's justified? hit-and-run, you're causing damage. he's not throwing punches, he's subduing him. >> reporter: it happened when the driver rear-ended a lexus around 6:00. we went to the scene and showed people what happened after the accident. >> i might have been in the same situation, probably doing the same thing. >> i didn't see him badger him or harming him in any way. i think he was just trying to contain him. >> reporter: a neighbor shared

photos after philadelphia police arrived. self-patrol cars lined the street to break up the two men. >> i would call the cops. >> no one was hurt in the accident or fight. police have not charged anyone at this time. live, brandon hudson, nbc 10 news. developing story. medical marijuana will soon be legal in pennsylvania. a short time ago governor wolf tweeted the house passed a patient to legalize the drug. governor wolf will sign it into law and parents of very sick children will no the have to wait for the medical marijuana on once the bill is signed. police say the house fire in strawberry mansion may have been set by someone who lives in the home. you can see heavy flames shooting from the windows and roof of the home, 33rd and

diamond. it all started as an argument that turned physical between the couple who lives here. skyforce 10 give us a view from above. after the fight, the woman ran back into the house and that's when the firs started. police have both the man and woman in custody now. from our jersey shore bureau, atlantic county grandmother sharing her story how she was shot with a stray bullet that nearly hit her infant grandson as well. that bullet hit her foot while she and her 8-month-old grandson were lying on the sofa. the shots came from franklin avenue. one plasted through the wall. a witness saw someone shooting at a car outside that home. >> most of the time i'm standing up here walking around with the kids. thank god i was lying with him. >> police say the family were the intended targets. the baby wasn't hurt but she's

shaken tonight. mishave made no arrests so far. new at 6:00 a nun's day in court. she faced a judge after charged with drunk driving. now we previously showed her arrest on dash cam video. >> nbc 10 is live in sowell where you got out of the courtroom. what did the nun have to say? >> reporter: kimberly miller told the court that she remembers going to an event eight children's bookstore, went back to the convent in north philadelphia, got her pajamas on, got a glass of wine, took an ambien and went to sleep. next thing she remembers being at a police station in new jersey. >> i was in my habit in handcuffs. >> right. >> i'm a nun. i was in handcuffs. >> right. >> i was not -- i wouldn't say -- i was so upset. >> sister miller cannot remember anything about her arrest captured in the video. she has a history of

sleepwalking and arthritic condition she takes medicine for. it's very painful and keeps her from sleeping so she drinks wine to help her get some rest. that november night she took an ambien. upon stopping the car, speech slurred, eyes droopy and smelled alcohol. they said she failed a field sobriety test. this is what sister miller remembers saying to officers once they took her to the police station. >> i asked him where i was. i asked him what time it was. >> reporter: right now, an expert is on the stand questioned about the possible impact of the medication she was taken. we're going to go back inside and bring you the verdict once it becomes available. >> eighth grader is in trouble with police for allegedly

stabbing a classmate with a pair of scissors. nbc 10 was there as officer took her out in handcuffs. spokesman said the stabbing happened before class pair are pleddics took a 14-year-old girl to the hospital with injuries to right shoulder and arm. she's expected to be okay. new at 6:00 suspected war criminal brought to court in philadelphia. he is known as jungle java. currently lives in east landsdown but committed war crimes during liberia's civil war. he murdered, raped, maimed innocent civilians and lied about it on u.s. immigration forms. convicted he could face 30 years in prison. the philadelphia community will pay tribute to ed snider next week. a public memorial on thursday 21st. service set to begin at 1:00
