afternoon, that will keep the immediate shore warmer. 42 degrees in atlantic city. go inland, mays landing below freezing. you don't have to go far to find the cold temperatures this morning. you won't have to go far or anywhere to see warmer temperatures this afternoon. the warming starts this morning for philadelphia, 51 degrees at 9:00. by 5:00, 66 degrees. seeing significant warming for the pennsylvania suburbs. starting off in the 40s, warming into the 60s this afternoon. the lehigh valley not as cold this morning. on the cool side at 9:00, 1:00 this afternoon brilliant sunshine and 60 degrees. for delaware, cool start, but low 60s this afternoon. south jersey into the 60s. there you go. the jersey shore, don't expect that sunshine to have a massive impact on the temperatures. it will be warmer at 55 degrees, but cooler than the rest of the area. that's what it looks like today. a look at your extended forecast on the screen any time, the seven-day at the bottom of the screen. i'll have the five-day forecast
when i'm back in ten minutes. jessica boyington with your first alert traffic. >> bill, watching the schuylkill expressway, this is around montgomery drive no problems in either direction. we did have an earlier accident scene around city avenue, that's cleared out of the way. no delays because of it. no delays eastbound into center city from the blue route to the vine street expressway, 12-minute trip. speeds into the 60s. no problems even headed westbound towards the king of prussia area. in conshohocken a vehicle fire there. roadway not closed yet. 6th avenue and maple street is where that is. no big delays because of it here is route 70 around kings highway in cherry hill, new jersey. we look okay here with no problems or delays. roads are dry. more updates in the next ten. new from overnight a row home fire in philadelphia sent a man to the hospital. nbc 10 was on the scene along
marvine street in logan. the fire broke out around 11:00 last night. crews got it under control in a matter of minutes but the fire was strong enough to damage three homes. the victim is being treated for minor smoke inhalation. investigators are looking into the cause of the fire. down but not out. the flyers are shut out in the nation's capital in game one of the stanley cup playoffs. it's still far from over. matt delucia is live at the wells fargo center. this is a tough one. they lose sean couture probably for the rest of the series. >> the flyers lost but there's more games to come. of course everyone is hoping for a big comeback. >> one way fans are hoping for that is with a pep rally today. that will be at noon in bala cynwyd at 1 bala plaza. that's one way to try to brush off the loss from last night.

>> reporter: a lot of people were at that watch party last night looking ahead to game two tomorrow. more importantly as we look live at the wells fargo center, game three. the series comes to philly on monday. hopefully by that time the series will be tied up and we'll be on our way to winning this whole thing against the capitals and on the way to the next round. for now live in south philadelphia, matt delucia, nbc 10 news. a man is recovering after firefighters found him inside a house where they just put out a fire. flames hit a row home along 77th avenue and west oak lane last night. after crews got control of the fire, they found a man inside the home. he was suffering from smoke inhalation but is expected to be okay. in philadelphia police are investigating the shooting death of an 83-year-old woman. police called to the woman's home in germantown yesterday and found her with two gun shot wounds to the chest.
investigators confirmed her husband was home at the time of the shooting. they say a gun was found there. police have made no arrests. this is what it looked like in center city during the thursday rush hour yesterday. protesters, as you can see, filled the street in what they called a day of rage. the demonstrations included multiple groups fighting for several different causes. >> what do we want? >> 15! >> when do we want it? >> now! >> the main issue was the battle to raise the minimum wage. it's called the fight for 15. demonstrators wanted a $15 an hour minimum wage. many fast food and service workers say they cannot live on $7 or $8 an hour. >> they can't eat, can't pay their bills with the salaries they're getting. >> earlier temple university students and faculty demonstrated against the proposed football stadium in north philadelphia. black lives matter protesters also rallied on the one-year anniversary of freddie gray's death. it is 5:06.

30s and 40s into the 60s for somerton, 65 this afternoon. south philadelphia at 65 degrees. if you're going to the ballpark over the weekend, today game time temperatures, 60 degrees. 62 saturday evening. a day game on sunday. what a beautiful day for baseball with sunshine. 70 degrees in south philadelphia. but it's not just south philadelphia that will see the nice warmup. doylestown, 64. reading, 66 degrees the high temperature. and if you're in south jersey, look at the 60s. brilliant sunshine. plenty of sunshine at shore, just bit cooler with those easterly winds. wildwood up to 57. morning temperatures in the 30s. for delaware, dover, 66. dewey beach, 60. 60 in wilmington. the warming continues right on through the weekend. 60s today and tomorrow. look at sunday in philadelphia, there's that 72 degrees. 80 for monday. not quite as warm at the jersey

5:15. the 2016 season for the philadelphia eagles is taking shape after the nfl announced the league's full schedule. the birds open at the linc against the browns and end with the cowboys. they have four prime time games, here are the match-ups. week two at chicago is a monday night game. they play the cowboys on sunday night football on october 30th and that game is on nbc 10. in late november, another monday nighter this one at the linc against the packers. a home game on thursday, december 22nd against the giants, which you can also see right here on nbc 10. the preseason schedule is also out. bucs, steelers, colts and jets. the final two games you can watch here on nbc 10, your
official eagles station. legendary singer diana ross is back on stage after she was injured in a car crash here in our area. you can see ross in these pictures taken moments after the crash on wednesday. ross was on her way to a performance at the sands event center in bethlehem. police say an suv ran a stop sign and collided with her limo. ross said she's a little sore after that. she did go on with the show in bethlehem and another one in rhode island last night. she tweeted this out yesterday. i was involved in a car accident, but i am fine. i ask you not to worry. it is 5:16. today marks three years since the boston marathon bombing. the terror attacks near the finish line of the race killed three people and injured more than 260 others. one of the bombers was killed days later during a shootout with police. his brother was convicted of the
crime and sentenced to death. officials will mark the anniversary with a wreath laying at the site today. today people in new orlean also come together to remember former nfl player shot and killed during a road rage incident. a public viewing and parade is scheduled for will smith. smith was killed saturday night. police say cardell hayes was the trigger man. president obama will deliver the commencement address at rutgers university next month. the speech is one of three the president will make this spring. it will highlight rutgers 250th anniversary commencement on may 15th. the event is expected to draw more than 50,000 people to the main campus in new jersey. amc wants to appeal to millenniums. so the company is considering allowing moviegoers to text in theaters. >> oh. >> i don't know about that. the ceo told variety magazine he's open to making some
