by 10:00, 76 degrees. sunshine will be there to brighten up the cameras. we'll see temperatures take off today. 77, that's the normal high temperature. look at interior new jersey, 87 degrees. at the shore it will be in the 70s. well into the 80s for the lehigh valley and for delaware, philadelphia, 88 degrees. that's today. seven-day forecast is always on the screen when i'm on the air. you can see it's only getting warmer from here. a look at weekend forecast when i'm back in ten minutes. right now let's check in with jessica boyington. jesse? >> we're watching construction that just cleared out on 422 off of route 23. you can see no construction vehicles in site. those moved out of the way. we are right on schedule for when those clear out. 295 construction between the like this all day.

55 in millville around route 49. restrictions. over the delaware memorial bridge. from new jersey into delaware, the left lane is closed. no backups or problems or delays on to 295 or the new jersey turnpike. we have breaking news. philadelphia police are investigating a deadly shooting in the city's germantown neighborhood. officers found the victim in the parking lot of an abandoned supermarket at wayne and west chelten avenues. police took him to einstein hospital where he died. it was a fight between two or three people before the shooting rang out. officers took to men in for questioning in the case. we are following breaking news from overnight. protests turned violent outside a donald trump rally in new mexico. >> police used smoke canters and pepper spray on the protesters

who were throwing rocks and bottles at the officers. matt delucia is live in the digital operations center with more on that we've seen protests outside donald trump rallies, but nothing like this. >> that's right. albuquerque police say several officers are being treated for injuries after being hit with rocks. police say there have also been several arrests. this is what it looked like last night in the streets of albuquerque. protesters burned pro trump flags and signs. they threw rocks, bottles and garbage. this was after trump was finished speaking. donald trump on twitter made no mention of the protests, only saying it was a great rally and an amazing crowd. inside the rally trump responded to hillary clinton's campaign that he was rooting for the housing crisis that destroyed do. what am i supposed to do? i'm in business. >> why on earth would we elect somebody president who actually rooted for the collapse of the

mortgage market? >> later this morning congressional democrats are holding a news conference on capitol hill to make that same point. during the rally last night, trump was interrupted several times by protesters. trump supporters shouted build that wall. and at one point a woman was stands by security. live in the digital operations center, matt delucia, nbc 10 news. we are exactly two months away from the democratic national convention in philadelphia. officials are already preparing for possible protests here. ahead in the next half hour, hear from the convention's ceo on the plan to balance free speech and security. 5:04. we're learning more about a man mowed down at a bus stop in northeast philadelphia. alejo molina was waiting for a bus monday night when a car crashed into a septa shelter and the driver took off. police say that the impact of the crash immediately killed the 50-year-old father. his wife says she is still trying to come to grips with it

all. >> i'm in shock. it saddens me that somebody would hit my husband and just go. >> the driver of the car turned himself into police eight hours after the crash. molina leaves behind his wife and two children. five minutes past 5:00. 61 degrees outside. police in south jersey are urging people to be on the lookout for thieves targeting the elderly. three people preyed on a woman and talked their way into their home by saying they cared for the couple during a recent medical appointment. the women were driving a white van with florida tags. >> we heard this before where there's two or more people going into a house and while they're distracted, somebody else is going through the house. >> police don't think anything was stolen but they say don't take chances. if someone suspicious knocks on your door, don't let them in and call police right away. protecting your home during the holidays. thousands hit the road on friday

for the memorial day weekend that means burglars will be on the lookout for targetsme starg. katy zachry is live in camden county with more on what you should do before you leave for the weekend. >> it's easy to get caught up with holiday plans and forget to safeguard your home. police throughout the area say we're entering a time when home break-s in take place more often. officers say it's easy to spot an empty home by just taking a quick drive through any neighborhood. yards with overgrown grass may be a sign. so is mail piling up in the mailbox and newspapers left in the driveway. avoid these things even if away for just a few days that includes telling only a few close neighbors of your vacation plans and keeping that information off of social media. >> you want to try to keep that you're going away as quiet as possible. there's no reason to broadcast it all over the place through different medias. we recommend you keep it quiet

afternoon. look how nice and clear it is showers, thundershowers, all that wet weather, all the clouds pulling away from the area. satellite and radar is clear. showers to the west moving into iowa, through nebraska, kansas and missouri that has a long way to go before it gets to us. friday is the earliest we'll see those showers. the showers we had yesterday come from that low pressure pulling away from us. they're safely off shore. we will stay dry today which means a good warmup. more like summer this afternoon. the only exception is the humidity will be staying low. upper 80s to closer to 90 degrees in the lehigh valley. sunshine for kutztown, bethlehem and easton. 87 in phoenixville. newtown up to 87. bright, sunny skies in philadelphia. parts of the city in the 60s. a quick warmup into the upper 0upper 0 upper 80s, closer to 90 this afternoon. warmup for new jersey, haddonfield, 88.

it's 5:14, 59 degrees. both houses of the new jersey legislature are scheduled to vote on a bill tomorrow that

calls for a statewide ban on smoking at beaches and parks. governor chris christie vetoed a similar plan in the last legislative session. it would allow county officials to set aside 15% of a beach as a smoking section. supporters say it will reduce litter and exposure to secondhand smoke and improve fire safety at beaches and parks. a solar powered airplane making its way around the world is in the air and is on its way to the lehigh valley. it was originally scheduled to fly from dayton ohio to the lehigh valley yesterday but it was delayed to check for possible damage. the plane began its voyage in march from abu dhabi and has made stops in china and in japan. today lawmakers on capitol hill will grill the head of the national transportation safety administration on how to cut down on long lines.

>> the house homeland committee will hear from peter neffinger this morning. lawmakers want to know why he chose to reassign but not fire the tsa administrator in charge official received big bonuses while security wait times were not improving. yesterday at philadelphia international airport, tsa screeners demonstrated how quickly a line can get clogged. water bottles, oversized liquids, even weapons can slow down the screening process. officers routinely find pocket knives and confiscate about 70 firearms per week. the tsa says that passengers should read the rules before coming to the airport to help cut down on wait times. >> my goal here is not to blame passengers for longer lines. i wanted to point out that passenger preparedness can have an impact on how quickly travelers can get through the checkpoint. >> tsa officials say they just hired nearly 800 new workers to alleviate long lines across the country.

delaware. along the shore, 81 is the high temperature. clouds have moved out of the picture for us. high pressure moving in today and tomorrow. lingering to the west is humidity and a chance of showers. that arrives on friday. upper 80s today. 90 degrees tomorrow. you'll feel the humidity increasing on friday. then a break for saturday. that may allow temperatures to go warmer, high of 92 degrees. then back to the 80s on sunday. we'll see clouds develop sunday afternoon, 86 degrees the high temperature. showers and thunderstorms are possible sunday afternoon and into the evening. then a mostly cloudy memorial day. that will keep things cooler. 79 degrees. some showers for monday. tuesday, 78 degrees with more wet weather. we'll break out of those clouds for wednesday and thursday. back into the 80s. >> thank you, bill. a partnership you probably
