this sunday. thank you for being with us. plenty to get to. let's start with our weather. krystal klei is tracking a hot day on tap for us. >> this forecast is way better than yesterday, not worried about severe weather passing through. yesterday, a line of storms moved by, caused damage across parts of the area. today, starting dry and nice. 73 in philadelphia. we're at 70 in wilmington. allentown, 68 and we're at 2 72n atlantic city. water temperature is chilly out there for those of you going down to the shore. today will be a nice day, no matter where you are. radar and satellite view, you can see why. instead of me having a wide view showing where the storms are headed, we're looking at clear conditions. few scattered clouds, no rain to track, and don't expect to be tracking rain for today. instead, i will be tracking the heat. we're going from the 70s this morning all the way up to around 90 degrees in the afternoon. here is the good news.

humidity is lower than yesterday. coming up, we'll talk about the events today you may be attending, day planner, we'll talk about that forecast through monday and tuesday. a lot of things going on. we'll all talk about wawa welcome america coming up. we expect to get an update into the investigation of road rage murder of bianca robison. matt delucia has more. >> we're expecting a press conference to happen at 10:00 this morning. police announced that news conference saying there is more information, new information to share. but not elaborating as to this point as to what that information is. yesterday west goshen police here released new video and photos of the red chevy pickup truck involved in the deadly crash. the truck had last been seen heading south on route 352. on friday, police release a sketch of the suspect that they're looking for here, hoping

more information and tips would come in. the investigation surrounds the road rage death of 18-year-old bianca robison. this happened on wednesday evening, while she was driving south on route 100, just before the merge with 202. she and the driver of the pickup truck were trying to merge into a lane there and she was shot in the head. police from three states have been looking for this man and the pickup truck. we're told that news conference will be held by the west goshen police chief and chester county district attorney tom hogan. that is scheduled to begin at 10:00 this morning. we have been making phone calls and working on more information to get those details for you. now live in west goshen, matt delucia, nbc 10 news. new this morning, investigators looking for the cause of a house fire in southwest philadelphia. you can see flames spread through the row home on elm wood street. crews got the fire under control within minutes, everyone inside made it out safely including this dog that was rescued by

firefighters. today in trenton, new jersey lawmakers will go back to the drawing board to try to reach a deal on the state budget. this after the stalemate forced a government shutdown. brian thompson reports. >> reporter: at liberty state park, not just cars being turned around, so were baby strollers, bicyclists as well told to ride somewhere else. >> i just learned how to ride a bike. this is my first bike ride and it is a little disappointing. >> reporter: outside the governor's office in trenton, protesters voicing their unhappiness, even as the governor managed to find state dollars to put up these signs outside the office and state parks blaming the speaker for the shutdown saying he won't compromise over his effort to give the state more control of insurance giant horizon, blue cross blue shield. >> i have compromised. i have listened. but i want to be clear to all of

you, i will not capitulate. >> reporter: a rare perhaps first time joint address to the legislature in the senate, because the governor was banned from the assembly where the speaker kept the voting board open for nearly 24 hours trying to force breakaway democrats to vote for a budget to send to the governor. the speaker's ally is coming up with their own blame game signs for christie, speaker prieto saying -- >> he outright said lies, alternative facts. >> reporter: strong union support for the speaker in this battle, even as most senators are siding with the governor, based on his promise not to veto any of this irspeeir spending p. at motor vehicle center like this, closed to further notice, anger and frustration. >> get your act together. we're going to vote soon. >> reporter: at island beach state park on what would have been the busiest weekend of the year, a similar scene of people turned away.

no one has figured out if there is a compromise or who will blink first. in trenton, brian thompson, nbc 10 news. delaware legislators will try to pass a state budge whet they meet in dover later on today. yesterday, john carney signed a spending measure to keep the state government running for 72 hours. temporary measure. this is the first time in delaware's history that state lawmakers failed to meet the budget deadline. ♪ just beautiful. today is the fourth day of the wawa welcome america festivities and it follows the stunning fireworks show on the delaware river last night as the spectacle lit up the sky over pen's landing, the fireworks were choreographed to songs like patti labelle and boys to men. today is free museum day at the barns along the ben franklin

this. in parts of suburbs, lehigh valley, few spotty showers passing. i can't rule out an isolated shower passing through philadelphia or parts of south jersey either. not looking quite as likely. still, the potential is there. and temperatures still hot. 92 in philadelphia. 91 in south jersey. then, let's look at tuesday, fourth of july, 88 in philadelphia. 87 for us in areas like the suburbs. upper 80s in the lehigh valley. 77 at the jersey shore. again, cannot rule out a spot shower developing. this will be over parts of south jersey and delaware. we could see just a brief period of rain as well for philadelphia. let's talk about it on your tuesday. fourth of july, going to the parade at 11:00 a.m., 84 degrees, it will be a bit humid out there. you'll notice it is hot at 88 degrees. by 4:00, high temperature for the day. mary j. blige concert, spot showers passing the area. possibly. this is something the models have been in and out of.

across the map, nice start to your morning. it is a little humid out there still. why? we have that rolling green moisture from the storms yesterday. some of us may be dealing with lingering fog as a result. radar and satellite, no rain to track, though. we have a few spotty clouds, otherwise, plenty of sunshine to kick off our sunday morning. and that's going to be the case through the rest of today. mostly sunny conditions in our forecast. next several hours through your morning. go from 73 currently. to 80 at 9:00 a.m. by noon, 86 degrees from the forecast. look at the icons, plenty of sunshine in the forecast for us. we're going to see just a light breeze out there. right around the west to southwest, 5 to 10 miles per hour. in the afternoon, it could get to 20 miles per hour at times. otherwise, today is the day to get outdoors as long as you stay hydrated. in the days to come, things looking good too. planners for different festivities in the fourth of july coming up. >> this morning, the district attorney of chester county and police will be giving us an

update on the search for the driver of this truck. the suspect in a road rage murder. matt delucia is live at west goshen township police to fill us in on the latest. >> reporter: we're expecting that press conference to begin at 10:00 this morning to offer a little bit more information and new information into this road rage murder that has been under investigation since wednesday night. and yesterday west goshen police released new video and surveillance photos of the red chevy pickup truck that was involved in this deadly crash. the truck had last been seen heading south on route 352 in delaware county. police had also released a sketch on friday of the suspect, hoping that it would get more information and tips coming in from the public, tips that might lead them to an arrest of the suspect. the investigation surrounds the road rage death of 18-year-old bianca robison, which happened wednesday evening, driving south on route 100, just before the merge with 202.

and so far police from three states have been looking for this guy and the truck. that press conference again is expected to begin at 10:00 this morning. west goshen police chief and chester county district attorney tom hogan are expected to be here to provide new details into the investigation. live in west goshen, matt delucia, nbc 10 news. this is the aftermath of yesterday's severe weather that swept through the region. this is at lehigh valley international airport. strong winds flipped over the airplanes. the driving rain also caused quite a bit of damage. nobody was hurt when the planes flipped over. heavy wind gusts did shut down the main departure terminal after a window shattered and the roof started leaking. justout side near the entrance to the airport, crews had to chop up trees knocked over by the storm. really fast moving quick storm and i can't believe it did this much so quickly. >> as we drove in, it was getting darker. we saw all the fire trucks over

in the other terminal with the overturned planes. >> the damage at the airport did delay some flights. crews in the meantime have been repairing the departure terminal, expected to reopen later on today. now to the budget battle in new jersey, lawmakers will be back in trenton to take another crack at passing a state budget. the government is still shut down. that means state parks all across new jersey remain closed during one of the busiest times of the year. many families forced to change their holiday plans. the shutdown has also shuttered motor vehicle offices and highway welcome centers. governor chris christie is at odds with the democrat led state assembly over his plan to overhaul knowledge's larnew jer health insurer. yesterday morning, just hours after a midnight deadline, governor john carney signed a funding measure to keep the state government running for next 72 hours. this is the first time in delaware's history that state

investigating the deadly crash of a small plane, four people were killed when their piper aircraft went down in severe weather yesterday afternoon. witnesses told police that the plane appeared to come apart in midair before crashing into a field. pieces of the mean were strewn all over the field. investigators say the cockpit was the only part of the plane that was still in tact. to new york where first responders flooded harlem after a transit bus went out of control and ran in a group of pedestrians. 12 people were hurt. most still in the hospital. police say an uber van was making a u-turn, crashed into the bus, sending it spinning, and investigators also say the van driver passed out at the wheel. that driver has not been charged. police in little rock, arkansas, now say a shooting at a nightclub that injured more than two dozen people may have been gang related and we just learned that u.s. marshals have arrested at least one person in connection to that shooting.

scary night. investigators believe several people opened fire during a hip-hop concert early yesterday morning. police are still searching for more people who may have been involved and they want to talk to the performer who reported l has opened warrants for gun possession and assault. they will take steps to shut down that nightclub. the promoter behind a failed music festival that left people out thousands of dollars is charged with wire fraud. fyres with billed eed as a luxu concert event. but performers backed out and festivalgoers were met with tents and cheese sandwiches. prosecutors say he used fake documents to defraud investors. on this sunday, already 73 degrees outside, another had the day on tap, but much better in terms of any unsettled weather out there. meteorologist krystal klei has the details in the first alert forecast.
