potentially preparing for siege-like conditions. the fbi has taken over. tensions are running high. >> it's sort of frightening when there's people making threats and -- people touting guns. >> people are afraid. >> it's the duty of the people to put that government back many place. >> reporter: bundy, along with his father, cliven, were in the fight with the government two years ago. this started with the sentencing of two local ranchers for setting fire on local land. government officials are calling for the men to serve out their five-year sentence. >> to think that there's this many people -- showing up. hope to see in five years.
millions bracing for what could be a full week of rain in the west. >> the first of a series of strong storms moving in. there will be rain from san francisco to san diego. and the storm's fueled by el nino. >> and there are also worries about landslides, flooding, and other disasters. brush fires have left hillsides unable to absorb the runoff. officials are getting the homeless off the streets. >> be prepared. this storm is real and it's coming. last el nino, the big storm that happened 18 years ago, we lost about 14 people and had billions of dollars of damage. we're determined to get out in front of this. >> this year's el nino is expected to be one of the most powerful ones ever. expected tomorrow. in addition on the rain, forecasters are calling for high winds and high surf. in the midwest, last week's
