we saw the live picture -- is live right now. we saw the live pictures. what a mess. >> reporter: absolutely, gene and gayle. when i got to the scene, all the vehicles were still here and look at the aftermath. take a look. this is the carport. and you will notice a lot of debris in the there and a lot of wood. we're told by a neighbor that the there used to be a shed, a laundry room. looks like the vehicle went straight through it. and i want to show you what the seen looked like this morning. you can see that the pickup truck was on top of another vehicle in the carport there. and now it appears to have gone air born after going through -- airborne after going through a couple pillars. it also hit a white honda and then pushed that vehicle into this black suv, a nissan with damage to it. and then they had to to you all of the vehicles away. so four vehicles involved in total. what is incredible about this is that no one got hurt, not even the driver of the pickup
and we are told that he is under arrest under suspicion for dui. and there might be more charges later today. and we will be keeping a close eye on that. and i want you to look again at this house. it is incredible that the house wasn't hit. it looks like all the damage is there in the carport. of course, a loft damage to not just the shed but you can see the family's belongings have been spewed all over the place this morning. and i spokes with one family member. they say they're very upset, they're going through a lot out here and they're really, really not happy with the situation. i mean, who would be? and of course, it's a scary start to this morning for this family. we will be out here all morning and of course as soon as we get new information and as soon as we find out who the driver is, we will let you know. >> all right, lindsey, i can't imagine waking up to the loud boom. thank you. you can stay on top of breaking news all day every day. download the news channel 8
this man is accused of a disgusting crime that parents need to know about. deputies tell us that 25-year- old lucas bales usedded a popular app to try to get nude girl. news channel 8's adrienne pedersen is tracking the the story live for us. this is another example of why we need to know what is going on with our kids on social media. and this kik app is hugely >> reporter: exactly right. i know you know what it is because you have kids and monitor those things for them. but for those who don't, it is popular. according to the app itself, 40% of american teenagers are signed on to kik and anybody can get it and sign up anonymously. >> your child's information is out there enough to where they can get the face and name of your child and find out where, where they live and go to school and then use that information to hurt your child.
parent to hear that. definitely some disturbing details in this latest case. according to the sheriff's office, 25-year-old lucas bales tried to get nude pictures from an 11-year-old. in fact, he posted her address on the kik app and threatened to send strangers to rape and hurt her if she didn't listen. thankfully she did not post the pictures. she is doing okay. right now, bales is in jail. and he will be going in front of a judge this morning. and of course, we will bring you the very latest on this happens. and it's interesting too, gayle, this wasn't the first time. he is accused of doing the same thing with a different girl but she didn't send the pictures either. >> it's scary for parents because a lot of times we don't know how to use the social media. tampa police are looking for another person all in connection to the deadly person at club rayne.
