>> see how clear it is in downtown tampa? well, you don't have to go far. just outside of the 275 area, headed up to plant city, brandon, near zero visibility. meaning the fog is so thick, you can barely see in front of your car. and same thing east into lakeland. but go to winter haven and you can see six miles in front of you. like in clearwater, it's thick. and what i expect to happen is for the fog to stick around for another hour, this is 6:30. mostly with the fog. same thing into 7:30, still foggy. and by 8:30, the fog is going away and by 9:30, beautiful skies. down to 41 in inverness. 51 in sarasota. sunny, low humidity and 70. in weather and traffic on the 8s, i will have the eight-day temperature trend to see how
i-75 very foggy out of pasco county and elsewhere. here's a look around fowler avenue. just use caution passing through. downtown tampa looks good. and 275 near fowler, it looks better. and let's switch over now to i- 4. ignore the low pressure. that has 20 do with the camera. this -- has to do with the camera. this is around i-4 at mango road, so in and out of the plant city area. back to gene and gayle. >> all right. take a look at this guy. he is a university of tennessee football player and he was just released from a pinellas county jail and he is facing serious charges. >> yeah, investigators insist mac crowder admitted to -- insisted mack crowder admitted to eliciting sex from a minor. lindsey mastis is following this live.
>> reporter: in this case, the victim isn't really a minor. according to the pinellas county sheriff's offs, the person -- office's office, the person mack crowder was an undercover deputy posing as a 14-year-old. but the timing couldn't be worse for the university. they are facing a lawsuit alleging more troubling behavior by male athlete. this is a big knock on his reputation this morning. the student once known as a college athlete and scholar now suspected of a disgusting crime. and the university of tennessee is in hot water for a whole other reason. it's facing a lawsuit filed by a group of women. they claim the school mishandle reports of sexual assaults by student athletes dating back to 1995. and they named bronco's quarterback and tennessee alumni peyton manning as part of one incident in the suit.

finally he was able to get away with unknown amount of items. and investigators hope this surveillance video leads them to the thief. battling the change dangerous zika virus and it could cost us about $500,000. hillsborough county commissioners will decide whether to spend that money to get a handle on the problem. news channel 8s adrienne pedersen is live this morning. adrienne, what exactly would the money be used for? >> reporter: good morning, gayle. i'm looking through the paper work for you this morning and it looks like we're talking mosquito surveillance as well as more spraying in the area. that's what the county commissioners will be talking about this morning around 11:15. and now i just checked the latest numbers for and you the state wide tote system now at 21 case -- total is now at 21 cases. three of the cases are here in the bay area. and governor rick scott even declared a health emergency.

area where it's difficult to see. be aware of it. the fog will lift between and will 9:00. a little cool at 54. and beautiful at noon, 65 degrees. and 70 with low humidity. and splendid afternoon. 53 in bartow. we are at 44 in brooksville. 53 in sarasota. and my weather watcher big monkey in crystal beach says 52 degrees. this is cooler than yesterday. 24-hour temperature change shows anywhere from 5 to 15 degrees cooler right now. that's one of the reasons why the fog has develop thed. and notice this is 9:25, already clear at this point and a gorgeous day. highs near 70. cool tomorrow morning and see the high pressure? that's going to hang tough and keep us sunny and nice. slow warming trend into the weekend. how about traffic on the 8s? well, you hit it on the head with talking about the patchy fog. some places it's good. some places it's not. some places it's cleared up. a look now at the camera system here throughout the bay area.
