attorney general janet reno passed away. she was the first woman to serve as u.s. ag. she was at the center of several political storms including the 2000 stand off in miami over a 5-year old boy in cuba staying with relatives in miami. she ordered the raid on the home in miami to return the boy to his father in cuba and unsuccul governor in 2002 narrowly losing the democratic primary. and on the campaign trail it is down to the final dave campaigning and donald trump and hillary clinton are still fighting for florida. trump is in sarasota right now and that's where we find news channel 8 john rogers. when is trump expect today speak?

and this morning a bay area mother is hospitalized after a horrible crash on i-75 in hillsborough county. it took the lives of her 2 children and their father. 31-year old ronald greene the second, his 9-year old daughter and 5-year old son died in the crash on i-75 early sunday morning. tiffany young when troopers believe he lost control of his vehicle and flipped over a barrier. friends who knew the father are shocked. >> avenues family man, he would go to work and come home here. the only time you see him catch him in the yard if he's out doing something in the yard. >> investigators are still trying to figure out what caused that horrific crash. they believe that greene may have been driving under the influence but are waiting on the

picture from debbi in the winter haven area. you've got to get up early to see the sunrise. now, it's nice an sunny, high, thin clouds around the area. it has been a little breezy. we're going to keep that breeze in the forecast for the rest of the day. breaking down the day warming up quickly to 82 degrees at 1 p.m. we hit around 84 degrees at 3, again that's above average but the breeze makes it comfortable and then, yes, by 7 p.m., a dark sky, the sun will have half before 7:00. 75 degrees though it's still pleasant and clear. it's currently 77 in clearwater. temperatures warmer than yesterday. 79 this lakeland, and the breeze is coming out of the east to northeast. i mean most places now more than 10 miles per hour. 16-mile per hour in lakeland, 14 in sarasota, even gusting up closer to 25 miles per hour for places along and east of i-75.

finished in florida all we can do is wait and see how the turnout is tomorrow at the polls. and across america this morning 2 central georgia deputies shot as they responded to a fight between neighbors. one died, the other is fighting for his life. officials say when sergeant patrick sondron and deputy smallwood arrived on the scene who called 911. apparently his neighbor threatened him with a gun and when they went to speak with him he opened fire. >> they walk maybe 10, 15 yards or so and they came under fire. they were both struck, they both went down right there. >> police say sondron died from his injuries and smallwood is in critical condition. they say

police custody. also in georgia right now jurors are hearing closing arguments in the case of ross harris, he is the man on trial for leaving his toddler son to die in a hot car. here's a live look at the courtroom right now as those closing arguments are already underway. harris is charged with murder and other crimes in the death of his 22-month old son cooper. prosecutors say he left his son to die intention responsibilities while pursuing sexual affairs outside of his marriage. the defense says it's nothing more than a tragic didn't. right now authorities are resumed their search for possible remains buried in south carolina. this is where a missing woman was found alive last week chained inside a metal container. so far 2 bodies have been found, one of them the boyfriend of that woman. it's now believed the man accused of
