have complete coverage for you throughout the day. good morning. no issues as far as the weather is concerned going out to the polls whether this morning or throughout the day, just a few high, thin clouds. a little cooler this time than yesterday. brandon down to 57 degrees right now. dade city at 60, lakeland, 61. the afternoon high only 2 degrees above the average of 80. so that' 2016 election and temperatures will fall to 65 degrees. so coming up i'll have an 8-day temperature trend and let you know what's happening on the roads. around the polls the key is you want to have patience for more reason than one. just remember, we're lucky we can vote, right. well, look at this we have a bit of overnight construction, the hump of the skyway bridge you can see the

more than 650,000 registered voters, 231,000 republicans, 233,000 democrats and 185,000 in the other category. now, another big race is the important fight for the 13th congressional district between david jolly and charlie krisk. we'll have more on that race coming up in the next half hour. presidential candidates campaigned late into both making a final pitch to voters in battleground states. clinton closed her campaign with a massive midnight rally in north carolina, she was joined by her family appeared lady gaga. . >> there is no reason, my friends, why america's best days are not ahead of us. if we reach for them together.

first of all make sure if you haven't already gone to early vote you go to the polls and you vote. at 7:00 this morning the policy will open to 65 degrees, comfortable. if you do have to stand in a line no worries there are mid-day voting 78 degrees, mostly sunny a gorgeous evening when the policy close on this 2016 election, light breeze and 74 degrees. pleasant really no matter what time you go to the policy today. rain chance goes up sliy another cold front that comes through saturday. that's going to be the one that kind of drops our temperatures. so 82 today, 84 tomorrow and thursday, but early next week we drop down into the mid to upper 70s. check in now with traffic on the 8s as people head out early. >> they're going to be all out there folks, so have patience on the roads today. let's take a look at traffic right now. we're looking at the skyway

the race for the white house. normally the county skews republican. we're in lakeland at the a pre skit with an equal number of registered democrats and republicans, good morning. . >> reporter: yeah the past 2 elections polk county has favored the republican party. president obama was defeated here twice in 2012 by mitt romney. romney winning by 6% vote by 4%. as far as this election goes early voting numbers no indication of what might happen here. more than 168,000 polk county residents voted early or by mail, but there's a virtual split down the middle between republicans and democrats. both campaigns included lakeland in the barn
