brings onshore winds and they are whipping. the rain has been picky and choosey. as you can see lightning as we move through the last couple of hours. we still have that steady light shower activity. boston along the south shore sometime from time to time more moderate rainfall that works across cape cod. that's where the bulk of the rainfall has been working through the time line you see with this forecast model a lot of oranges and reds. i really think this is overdoing it by a whole lot. we look at the rain to taper within the next couple of hours as the system pulls away. as it does it leaves us with more of a raw feel. the winds will still be with us. i think that's the part of this storm system that we'll notice the most. wind gust have increase 31-mile-an-hour in boston. 33 plymouth. the winds will kick throughout the afternoon intoening.

after police call an act of road rage. police say he pointed a gun at another driver. even though it wasn't a real gun it's a real crime. john cocoa live in medford with the story. >> state police said around 4:30 yesterday a driver called 911 saying someone pointed a gun at her after road rage incident. she then followed the car until medford police could stop it. police found that driver 20-year-old charlestown man had replica firearm with orange tip painted black making the gun leak more real. according to police road rage happened from 93 north to mystic of in summerville. this arrest comes in same week that mayor marty walsh signed an ordinance in boston banning spaces. also allows boston police to confiscate and notify parents and guarden the person is under the age of 18. this suspect faces a couple of charges and will be in court in medford.

7news "today in new england". the man accused earlier this week of dragging a bare of boston police officers with his car once worked for uber. brian gilbert passed a background check despite the fact he was a convicted felon. they aren't saying how he managed to pass the check. he's received more than 20 traffic citations. he used his suv to drag the officers for 100 yards. >>the officers were not seriously hurt. gilbert was not working for uber at the time of the accident. large crowd of pro tgser marching through boston. they called for higher wages. last night they got good news. victoria warren live with the latest. . >> the bill was pushed out of committee but it still has a long way to go before it could become a law. it's also getting attention of political candidates.

pulls away and its moving quickly it will take those bands with it. past noon today this tapers to more of a drizzly misty sort of just wet in the face a whole day. because the wind is still drawing in moisture off the ocean. so something to pay attention to. the winds will continue to kick all day. we're looking at those sustained winds ten to 20 miles per hour coming from the north, north east as you get on cape cod and the wind gust between 25 and 35 miles per hour. and they could be stronger than that from time to time. we've already seen that today. wind gust at rockport reported up to 51 miles per hour the wind advisory in effect through 7:00 p.m. worcester. mid 40s elsewhere. 50 in plymouth and the temps don't move a lot today until they fall tonight once we get some of that clearing. lows tomorrow morning 37 to 44. now as you take a look at the bigger picture you can see we got some clear skies on the way for us. but then all of that snow we've
