3 we begin tonight with two breaking news stories-- 3 the first is out of anderson county. that's where deputies say a dive team is searching the saluda river -- after a car was found in the water. it's in the area of holcome drive. drive.it's not clear, if the car was involved in a wreck *or if anyone was inside it when into the river.as we get more information...we'll bring it to you online and on thee morning news. 3 and in greenville county-- deputies have an active death investigation on their hands -- after finding a man's body inside of a home.this was the scene along perry road--that's where the body was found just after six p-m. m.deputies at the scene tell us a man was found dead - but it's not clear how he died-- neighbors did say that they heard gunshots earlier this evening--but the investigation is still in its early stages. 3 michael douglas/greenville county sheriff's officetrt: 0:05"we do not have any information that would lead us to believe that the community is in jeopardy at this point." 3 you'll want to stick with fox carolina news--we will have continuing coverage of these stories--in this newscast--on

in asheville was made.trena weaver is now charged with misdemeanor child abuse asheville police say law enforcement &; highway patrol joined forces to arrest the 3 other suspects.. suspects..natasha cantrell, christopher carter, &; chadwick agan are currently locked up in jackson county georgia.they are charged with kidnapping and child abduction 3 again, the two children are currently in custody of the north carolina department of social services--all we were told was that they were in town visiting relatives at the time of the kidnapping. derek? 3 shale, do we know if the couple who dropped off the kids is related to them at all? 3 when i spoke to a detective today, he says they are not related. and as of now, are not considered suspects.also, the suspects who were arrested today are also not blood related to the children.derek and sarah--back to you-- 3 fox carolina is covering our counties
3 in spartanburg county-- authorities have a suspicious death investigation on their hands tonight--after they found a man unresponsive near a fast food restaurant. restaurant.brent tesner was found unconscious behind the hardee's in cowpens.he was taken to the hospital -- where he died. so far--the coroner's office isn't saying *why the death is suspicious--but they do say the investigation is in its early stages.we'll let you know what we find out. 3 in anderson county--deputies are investigating a shooting that turned into a chase. authorities say a suspect was involved in an assault and battery on woodforest lane this afternoon. they say the suspect then took off in his car....leading deputies on a chase.authorities say the man then jumped out of the car...on agnew road at highway 29. so far no one has been charged - but the sheriff's office tells us the victim does know the suspect.no one was injured. 3 in greenville county-deputies say they need your help finding a missing person. person.authorities are searching for 78-year old doyle chism. he was last seen leaving his home on green fern drive. he is believed to be

co-worker while doing a live interview with that woman you just heard from, vicki gardner. gardner says there's a plaque right outside her office, placed there in memory of the two. 3 new tonight 3 severe storms are continuing to devaste the country. at least eleven people are dead-- after tornados ripped through parts of texas last night.the latest storm puts the number at more than 40 people who have died in recent storms across the u-s. u-s.the national weather service says the area saw between 150-200 miles per hour winds.the storms blew off roofs--mangled cars--downed power lines--and toppled trees. some of the people killed were along the interstate. that's where police say cars were thrown from the roadways by strong winds. those who watched the storm from inside - say it was very frightening. 3 3 "it was a just a dark funnel and it was a big roar. it was really scary. it scared me. i don't scare that easy but it scared me." me." 3 "like out of nowhere it

and sarah--back to you-- 3 in news across the carolinas- 3 in eastern north carolina--a man is facing charges after police say he ran from them -- and tried to *steal a van. van.this is carlos wright-- he's the man accused.police say wright was impaired when he tried to make a run for it friday night.that led to a brief chase--and he was later found trying to break into a van that was at a salvage yard. police also say the car that he initially had was also stolen!he's is still in jail tonight. 3 in chapel hill-- a man has been arrested in a shooting that left a 1-year-old critically injured.authorities say shaquille davis is the one that fired shots from a car at an apartment complex where the 1 year old lived with her family.that girl was hit--and had to undergo surgerydavis faces a charge of attempted first degree murder in the case. 3 new tonight-- 3 a man is in jail in n michigan after a deadly shooting outside of a mall. mall.witnesses tell police that the suspect in this case just walked out of a store--
victim--who was shot several times.that victim wound up dying at the hospital.there's no word on what led up to the shooting just yet.police say there could be more suspects in the case.this is the second mall shooting this week--you might remember the one in charlotte a few days ago. 3 another disturbance at a mall-- this time, in kentucky---where a mall had to be closed after somewhere between 1-thousand and *2-thousand teenagers got involved in a fights and what have been called 'disturbances' at a mall there. police say they initially got calls about teens being unruly at the mall--both inside and outside--and it got so bad that the mall had to close.the teens are believed to be between middle and high school age.dozens of officers had to work to get everything under control. 3 the body of a missing marine has been found--more than a week after he went missing. missing.authorities say *tristan clingerwent missing shortly after his wife reported signs of depression to military officials.clinger had served in the marinenefor five years.authorities are not saying where he was found--or how he died.
