3 covering our counties at four-- -- 3 a laurens county teacher is off the job this afternoon after she was charged with assaulting a 13-year-old student! student!brandy overmyer was an glish and language arts teacher at sanders middle school in district 55.district officials say a student reported that overmyer struck him.she was later taken into custody and is no longer employed with the district. according to the school website..overmyser started working for the district last fall. 3 the greenville fire department says that more than 20 people have been displaced after an early morning fire! fire!firefighters tell us they were called to tara apartments on lowndes hill road around 6-30 this morning.the apartments are home to recovering alcoholics and addicts in the program "solutions recovery."the director of the program asks for prayers for those who are struggling with not only soiety--but now losing their homes...

3 we're back with a developing story---- 3 new details this afternoon on thursday's deadly shooting rampage in kansas -- as police confirm the identify of the shooter...and release a possible motive. motive.three people were killed and 14 others were wounded when police say cedric ford opened fire thursday evening at excel industries. deputies say the shootings began when ford allegedly shot a man driving his two children...then a second person before driving to the company where where he worked...and opened fire. co-workers say were shocked by the shooting--and the sheriff speaking out today saying it was the heroic act of one deputy...the first officer on the scene...that saved

3 now to a developing story---- 3 could a lottery be the way to solve the state's coyote problem?some lawmakers think it is...they're proposing prizes for hunters who shoot a lucky.... or unlucky... depending on how you look at it....coyote 3 the proposal would give at least a thousand dollars...to any hunter who kills the "right" coyote coyoteso what exactly is the "right" coyote.... coyote....fox carolina's adrian acosta joins us live now from greenville county with the answer 3 the old saying goes wanted dead or alive...but in the case of what state lawmakers consider nuisance coyotes.... its just dead...and the bounty is pretty high...but that's only for specially tagged ones...we want to warn you some of you may consider some images your about to see graphic 3 3 3 pictures like this of a coyote hanging out by a pool in spartanburg county in broad daylight are becoming more and more common according to ron

resources 3 "coyotoes are not native to south carolina they were brought here and they have spread to every county in the state of south carolina"and winegard says the normally nocturnal animal is becoming bolder ....he says he had to shoot this one in right in downtown easley"they are very pattern when you take your small pet out and they will scoop up a small cat or dog and take it while your watching"according to dnr...the exploding coyote population is taking its toll on deer by feeding on fawns...bringing the deer population down 30% since 2002."you can kill coyotes year around...you have to have a hunting license if you go out and hunt them but you have a right to protect your property"just this week lawmakers introduced legislation they hope will help calm the coyote catastrophe...and anderson representative josh putnam supports it it 3 "it would instruct the dnr to
