diabetes awareness month. it is so food related and you have to have your diet on point. we're going to talk about the three main myths of diabetes.this goes for both types of diabetes. things to keep in mind whether you were just diagnosed or have had it your whole life, i'm going g try to fix some misconceptions. my first is that people have to eat special diabetic or diatectic food and that's just not true. you can have an overall balanced diet that includes whole grains, lean protein, non-starchy vegetables. if you buy things that are no sugar,

8:17 am
are what spike and raise your blood sugar. if you don't eat any it's going to drop really low. you still want to aim for whole grain. but serving size is key. the bread, pasta, and potatoes can definitely fit just counting and measuring carbs so you can get those portion sizes right. the third is that things like milk, yogurt and fruit are healthy is i can eat as much as i want. that's not true because those also have carbohydrates that raise your blood sugar as well. watching your
