police say 45 year old jerome johnson junior was shot near 21st and university around one o'clock. johnson told police he got lost.. and started following another car to find his way out of a dead end... when someone in that car got out and shot him in the shoulder. he went home and his girlfriend took him to the hospital. no arrests have been made in the case. the chief justice of the iowa supreme court delivered his state of the judiciary address this morning at the state capitol... mark cady laid out his priorities for 20-16... which include ending human trafficking and racial disparity within the court system. he also highlighted the judicial branch's strides in making court documents easily accessible online for the public. and the chief justice called on lawmakers to understand the dangers of human trafficking in our state, and urged legislation to prevent it. 11:37:48 "we can no longer view human trafficking as a problem reserved for major cities in america. it exists as a dark underworld in many communities across iowa and is associated with some of iowas most iconic places and events. there is no justice when children are abused and

lawmakers on both sides of the aisle are reacting positively to the chief justice's address, saying his goals are in line with theirs. with just 19-days until the iowa caucus... ted cruz holds a narrow lead over donald trump. the des moines register poll... released today... gives cruz a three point lead... with 25-percent of likely caucus goers supporting him. trump comes in second at 22- percent... followed by marco rubio with 12-percent and ben carson with 11- percent. everyone else is in the single digits... trump has not held the lead in the iowa poll for nearly five months... but he is narrowing the gap with cruz in the final weeks before the iowa caucus. jeb bush received just four percent in that poll.... putting him in sixth place in the republican race. political director dave price watched him in urbandale today and joins us now...

"we are so excited because this is something we've wanted to do for a long time." you'll soon be able to grab lunch on the go- at a new mobile location. food trucks have become a popular place to get a meal in des moines. now, one non-profit has plans for a food truck with a purpose. channel 13's megan reuther has the story new at five.

a metro non-profit plans to offer a new place to grab food on the go. @13:58 "we are going to be launching a program, hopefully this spring/summer. it's going to be called food truck with a purpose." easter seals iowa helps people with disabilities live, learn, work and play in the community. the organization is looking for a truck and developing a menu. the goal is to provide job training to those they serve. opportunity to learn how to develop a menu, to the product we will be serving." they plan to use some of the fresh produce from the easter seals garden. about thirty clients will have the chance to work in the truck throughout the year. @14:24 "our goal is to come up with healthy menu choices we could sell from a food truck to our community and the proceeds from this will go back
