shirley's memory become a memory and they proved it today... holding a rally and demanding an arrest outside the marion county courthouse. good evening. i'm erin kiernan... 68-year old shirley carter was murdered at her home in lacona last june... carter's family members say they the evidence leads police to the same suspect... justin surrency has the story... its first on 13... "i feel, when she got killed i feel like i lost a mom."for many in marion county, the death of shirley carter was more than just the loss of a neighbor... "she touched so many lives and was such a geniune good person in so many ways."friday's rally outside the marion county courthouse brought over 100 people all demanding results
investigation. "we must bring some closure, we must have justice for shirley..."many have been left wondering why... "super devastating that someone could ever murder shirley carter, the nicest woman you could ever meet."and investigators have been wondering who... "someone did this and someone needs to be held responsible.."since her death june 19th in her lacona home there have been no suspects charged...bill carter, shirley's husband filed a wrongful death lawsuit against their youngest son jason carter but no charges have been filed against him either... "justice for shirley carter, that's what this is all about, that's what the lawsuits about, that's what the rally is about, that's what the depth of emotion you saw today was about."but many are growing impatient with the investigation...
