she hosted a town hall in denmark she talked about issues getting money to poor school districts and making the lifestyle of middle class families' more comfortable. she also accused her opponent bernie sanders of not supporting president obama. she also says while sanders has great ideas she is not an "one issue candidate" and she will not make promises she cannot keep. republican hopeful john kasich hit the road in south carolina today. he talked with business leaders at the state's chamber of commerce. ..and with wis' will whitson. ohio governor john kasich describes his time on the campaign trail as a blast. he says he's having fun- even if he doesn't get elected. but, he is in it to win it, so the question is will he be ok with a second or third place finish in south carolina, where the delegates only go to the winner? governor kasich is riding high after his second place finish in tuesday's new hampshire primary- coming from far behind in the polls to finish ahead of ted cruz and marco rubio. and at the south carolina chamber today- he talked about the increased fundraising it's brought his campaign- as well as the extra staff the campaign took on in the state. but the latest poll- released today by the augusta chronicle, shows kasich in 5th place in the palmetto state. and the delegates are

"the troooo are also coming. you know, one of the strenghths in new hampshire that people did not see is we about something bigger than themselves." governor kasich will participate in saturday night's republican debate- but will be spending a few days outside of south carolina before the actual primary vote ww wis news 1o candidates aren't the only ones getting ready for primary days here in south carolina. election workers and volunteers have been busy as well. in richland county officials say they're aiming to have more than 500 voting machines in place by tomorrow. 134 polling sites in all are set to be open and running for the primaries in richland county alone. elections director samuel selph says the county has already taken in more than 5,000 requests for absentee ballots which could be a sign turnout will be strong. "it's up! there's no question it's up. we expect it to go further and that's good in terms of having a..a very vibrant turnout and because of the

in 2012 about 2,000 absentee ballots were taken in for the republican primary in richland county. this year there will be about 1,000 volunteers stepping in to help voters cast their ballots. a midlands volleyball and track stand-out has died in a car wreck. 23-year-old ty laporte was killed last night in a car crash near holly springs. mississippi after colliding with an 18- wheeler. the driver of the semi wasn't hurt but laporte died at the scene. ty graduated from dutch fork high school. and she had just just finished her four-year ole miss volleyball career. laporte was named to the sec academic honor roll in 2014 and 2015. a badly banged up dog in fairfield county has a second chance at life thanks to some generous people friends. emmanuel is an 11 month old late last year he was found abandoned and badly hurt at carolina advenutre world --

hospital concluded he had been dragged by a car and was badly malnourished. his rescuers created a go fund me page, and from there they say support took off. "we initially asked for $4,000 just to cover the first month of treatment. he's bene here for two months. his bill is currently over $6,000. the knee surgery itself is going to cost between $3,200 and $3,800 for the left knee." a fairfield county man was arrested and charged in connection with emanuel's abuse. the fairfield animal hospital is hoping to get the dog into a new home once he's fully recovered. deputies in orangeburg county are looking for a person of interest after someone test drove an s- u-v and never returned with the vehicle. employees of again auto sales on five chop road in orangeburg say a man drove off in a silver 2005 trail blazer saturday. deputies say the man arived in a blue audi and say a woman drove away in that car. if anyone has any information on
