investigating ... but they say the death appears to be an accident. kenosha police are releasing more details about a deadly shooting. it happened on august 21 -- near 67th street and 24th avenue. police believe the victim-- 39 year old bernard reavers --- went to visit a neighbor, when he walked in on an armed robbery... and was fatally shot. police are looking for the car in this picture. they are also interested in seeing any home security footage from the area. if you can help, contact kenosha police. milwaukee police are also investigating a fatal shooting... that happened in broad daylight. a 23-year-old man was killed on his way to a funeral. it happened around 12-30 yesterday near 22nd and keefe. family members tell us they were on their way to bury their grandfather-- when the shots were fired. lamar ragland died on the scene. his gold car was immediately behind the hearse. his cousin thinks that's why he was targeted-- but milwaukee police are still investigating. two other people were also shot.

grandpa. so how ruthless, and where is your conscience? the two other victims were 22 and 24 years old. they are expected to survive. police are still looking for for the people responsible. a mississippi prosecutor may consider seeking the death penalty for a man charged with killing two nuns. a judge denied bond to the wake of the brutal murders. sanders has been charged with capital murder... as well as grand larceny and burglary. officials aren't sure yet if sanders targeted the nuns. they say he previously spent more than ten years in jail for armed robbery. sister paula merrill and sister margaret held were found stabbed to death

was held to honor the two nuns yesterday in mississippi. held grew up in slinger and worked with the school sisters of saint francis in milwaukee. she was working as a nurse practitioner in mississippi in one of the poorest counties in the state. "want to change the world? there's nothing to it." this morning hollywood is saying wilder passed away in his connecticut home yesterday. he is best known for his iconic roles in "willy wonka and the chocolate factory," "the producers" and "young frankenstein. his nephew says he died of complications of alzheimer's disease. wilder was 83-years-old. the actor has deer roots here in wisconsin he was born in milwaukee... and graduated from washington high school. kim is in the newsroom with a look back at the actor's life. wilder spent his free time involved in the schools theater group... juggling his extracurricular activities with this academics.

where we saw wilder prominently featured on the hall of fame. alumni historian linda durrenberg says wilder was inducted into the schools 'hall of fame' back in 2001. he was invited to attend the ceremony... but sadly couldnt make it. during his high school years... friends knew him as jerome silberman "he was vice president of the washington players and he received a drama award for that. and he was into a lot of the plays, he was in another review group that washington had at that time." not only bringing laughter into our lives... but also for the work he did trying to improve the lives of cancer patients. 'gildas club,' a national organization was co-founded by wilder after his third wife's --- actress gilda radner --- passed away from ovarian cancer. even as wilder himself successfully battled non-hodgkins lymphoma. theres still an active chapter of 'gildas club' in madison

police say they are still looking for additional suspects in connection with this assault. milwaukee police sensitive crimes is investigating. we'll continue to follow this story and bring you any updates throughout the day. and this just in --- new information on a deadly stabbing happening on milwaukee's east side just steps away from brady street. police have not released the name of the victim... he's milwaukee chef shawn ostrom. two suspects, a 45-year-old man from oak creek and a greenfield, were arrested in connection with the crime. it happened near pulaski and arlington early yesterday morning. police say they think the 32-year-old victim got into an argument-- and that he knew his attackers. the investigation remains ongoing. the west allis man charged with killing a woman on interstate 90 - as part of a multi-county crime spree - pleads not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect. zachary hays entered the plea in sauk county court monday. investigators say the shooting on the interstate came just hours after he

allis apartment building. hays was eventually arrested after a shootout with police near madison. and the sheboygan falls mother accused of killing her 2 year old son was also in court yesterday. 27 year old katlyn kinateder pleaded not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect to charges of first degree homicide and hiding a body.police say she admitted to suffocating her son... saying she was hearing voices when the child was killed. milwaukee police are asking for yo men who tried to rob a wendy's two weeks ago. according to police, the men walked into the restaurant, one of them pulled out a gun and demanded money from the cashier. the two took off before taking any money. if you know who these guys are, you're asked to give police a call. no charges will be filed against the man who hit and killed a west bend teenager back in february. 18-year-old ryan yauck had parked his car along the side of highway 45 near

line and struck him. the washington county sheriff's office says they just got toxicology reports back and have determined the driver was not impaired-- speeding-- or distracted. and while he won't be charged-- he will be cited for unsafe lane deviation. an important meeting of the minds in milwaukee. the topic--- civil rights and hate crimes. taking part in the discussion monday -- the wisconsin advisory committee and the u-s commission of civil rights. the discussion focused on the formation and activity of hate groups and the effectiveness of hate crime laws in the state. rights meets with leaders in every state. "it's not just enough to look at something that's criminal conduct motivated by bias but ultimate;y, how do we evolve from that? how do we learn from that? how do we change that dynamic?" the state committee will issue their findings and recommendations in a full report at a later date. develoing now-- former congressman anthony weiner is reportedly facing another sexting scandal.

seat belts have saved three hundred thousand lives since they became standard equipment fifty years ago. but still 25 million people dont buckle up, especially in the back seat. in this morning's contact six report - jenna sachs explains why thats a danger to everyone in the car. 19 year-old tyler elzey and his best friend harrison were going for just a short ride. they were in the back-seat -- no seat belts on -- - when the driverlo is a scene that is difficult for his mother to relive. 'tyler and harrison basically became projectiles, their heads hit each other. he suffered multiple skull fractures. not wearing a seat belt can make you a lethal weapon.' its estimated a quarter to a third of passengers in the back seat dont buckle up with young people being the worst offenders. thats many more than dont buckle up in front. 'people may think its ok to be unbelted in

altogether if its just a short trip. well thats just wrong.' most fatal car crashes occur within 25 miles of home. and being unbuckled in the back seat increases your risk of dying in a crash to three times what it is if you have your seat belt on according to the governors highway safety association. and unbuckled passengers in the back seat also can pose a danger to people buckled-up in the front. 'unbelted passengers in the back can be flung forward in a crash with such tremendous force that they ca kill the people in the front.' suzanne started a website called cruisesafe.org to educate kids not to do what tyler and his friends did routinely - skip the seat belts. 'these 4 kids, who were all really good kids, just graduated from high school and in an instant they were all gone.' its not only lives seat belts can save. its estimated that medical costs and lost productivity due to accidents involving the failure to use seat belts has so far cost the
