all. nicole joins us now with more on the excitement. this is the cubs first series title since 1908! and remember -- the cubs were down three game to one at one point and able to rally to win it all. so let's get to the highlights. the game started with a bang -- after the cubs' dexter fowler hit a home run. and the hits just kept coming...but the indians staged a comeback in the 8th inning...tying the game 6 to 6...which eventually led to extra innings. due to a quick rain delay after the 9th. the cubs able to keep things rolling though after the game started up again...scoring two runs in the top of the 10th. the indians trying to match that but the final score ended 8 to 7. the cubs ben zobrist was named the m-v-p. with the cubs' win --the indians now have the current longest dry spell between championships, last winning in 1948. and last night got pretty crazy in chicago -- fans were outside wrigley field

the field itself was closed though. police stopped traffic from going through the area as well. and celebrations not over yet. the team expected to return to chicago today from cleveland. breaking news out of afghanistan this morning. two u.s. service members were killed today battling insuen other americans were injured. nato says those killed were part of "a train, advise and assist mission". the identities of those who died have not been released. the salvation army says someone is stealing money by posing as a bell ringer they have a picture of the suspect...and they need your help to catch him. deandra corinthios is live from the salvation army headquarters in wauwatosa with more. on tuesday -- witnesses saw a man collecting money with a stolen red

timmerman airport. but---the red kettle campaign --doesn't begin until tomorrow! a real salvation army representative saw this man taking money in the parking lot tuesday... confronted him and took his picture. the suspect allegedly hopped into his car with the red kettle and took off. the rep also took down his license plate. the man's red kettle logo and he was not ringing a bell. the salvation army believes that...was the red kettle that was stolen from the same walmart last christmas season...and never recovered. "it speaks to desperate times ad individuals who are in a difficult situation in their lives, the salvation army works with these individuals every day of the year not just this time of the year, had that individual came to the salvation army and identified himself as someone in need the

the salvation army red kettle campaign kicks off tomorrow at 7 am... it runs through dec 24th live in wauwatosa deandra corinthios fox6 news. a look at the day ahead -- a brown deer police officer -- accused of shooting a suspect in the back -- is due in court. 27 year old devon kraemer is charged with aggravated battery. prosecutors say she shot manuel disturbance on a county bus back in march. police say he was resisting officers when the gun went off. burnley survived the shooting. kraemer is on administrative leave. her preliminary hearing is scheduled for later this afternoon. friends and family gather to remember a 17-year-old girl hit and killed by a bus yesterday. been assaulted by a man who ran off before officers arrived. al-nah-di was a junior.. majoring in business administration. we're learning more about the man who allegedly shot and killed two officers in iowa yesterday morning. police say he has a history of racial provocations and confrontations with police. nicole is in the newsroom with the latest. police arrested 46-year-old scott michael greene hours after the officers were shot and killed. this all started early yesterday morning -- when two des moines-area officers were ambushed in 29-year-old officer justin martin...and 39 year-old sergeant anthony beminio...were shot...sitting in their police cars. greene later surrendered to authorities. greene has a history of police confrontations. a little more than two weeks ago... he was removed from a high school football stadium...after allegedly displaying a confederate flag near some black spectators. coming up - celebrate the cubs historic world series win with some new gear. the store that extended their hours for fans this morning -

authorities say a clash between law enforcement and people protesting the dakota access pipeline near the mouth of the cannonball river has ended. protesters were trying to get on federal land..and ultimately private property owned by the pipeline de officers in riot gear hit several dozen people with pepper spray and tear gas as they waded through the waters. medics were treating some of the protesters hit for injuries and hypothermia. two people were arrested. mississippi police are now calling the burning of a black church... a hate crime. the fire was reported tuesday night at hopewell baptist church in greenville. firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze...which mostly damaged the 111- year old church sanctuary. vandals had spray-painted "vote trump" on an exterior wall of the

intentionally set. the federal bureau of alcohol, tobacco and firearms and the state fire marshal's office are each offering 5- thousand dollar rewards the local crimestoppers agency is also offering another thousand dollars for information. the operation to retake the iraqi city of mosul continues ... the leader of the islamic state group releases a message to followers telling them to keep up the fight. meanwhile -- iraqi special forces have recaptured one neighborhood in the killed eight isis militants while going door to door in the area. despite the progress that the iraqi forces have made ... the iraqi government says it will be a challenge for troops to retake other parts of the city. isis militants continue to fire mortar rounds at the forces. national guard officials in michigan are investigating what led to seven training bombs accidentally being dropped over a wooded area last week. no one was hurt in the incident. the plane was flying from selfridge air national guard base near detroit
