tensions high in a chicago neighborhood after an off-duty police officer shot and killed a man over the weekend.. the man was shot after leaving a funeral and getting in a fight with an off-duty firefighter. kim is in the newsroom with more. police say 25-year-old joshua beal was in a car that was illegally blocking a them to move. soon after a fight broke out. officials say an off-duty officer in a nearby barber shop saw the fight and came out to intervene....and another off-duty officer on his way to work stopped when he saw beal allegedly holding a gun. according to police, as the situation escalated, beal didn't drop the weapon, and shots were fired. beal was taken to the hospital and later died. a picture has surfaced that allegedly shows beal pointing a gun. investigators are aware of that photo..but the family is upset by actions

a missouri father and his two young sons are dead after a possible murder- suicide in st. louis. police say christopher cadenbach was wanted for domestic violence. saturday afternoon he met his mother and the two boys -- who were 4 and 5 years old -- at a park. while there, officials said he told his mother he "wasn't going to be taken alive." cadenbach then took off in his mother's police and an amber alert was issued. the boys and their father were later spotted in cliff cave park in south county. as officers headed toward them, they heard gunshots. police say cadenbach shot and killed his sons. at this time, it's unclear if cadenbach died by his own gun or by police fire. the investigation is ongoing. and in texas =- authorities say they've found the body of a missing 10-year-old girl. kayla gomez disappeared from a church tuesday night. after four
