traffic map = major delays yellow on traffic map = some delays green on traffic map = no delays breaking news out of tennessee this morning. rig trying to arrest a man who shot an officer early this morning..... we're told the officer was trying to serve a warrant...when the suspect shot him in the shoulder. the officer is expected to recover. the suspect has barricaded himself inside a nearby motel. we'll continue to follow this story and bring you updates as we get them. back here in wisconsin ---- a deadly crash in kenosha county is under investigation this morning. it happened on i-94 near the highway 142 exit. we're told that a woman died after she hit the median...and was then hit by another car going

other car were injured...and are expected to be ok. it's unclear what caused the crash. the interstate was shut down overnight but all lanes have since reopened. a man is recovering this morning after a shooting on milwaukee's near northside. around 12-30 police say they were called to the area of fourth and center after a fight ends in gunfire. we're told a 49-year-old man was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. m-p-d investigators have several possible leads on a potential suspect, but right now no on is un custody. a teenage girl shot and killed. investigators are trying to figure out if she was the intended target...as the family mourns the loss. deandra corinthios is live near the scene at 35th and silver spring with the latest 15 year old melanie johnson was inside her mother's home...when police the shooter or shooters fired into the building from outside. this was the scene shortly afetr 6 p-m monday night. anxious relatives gathered near the scene at 35th and silver

johnson was the intended target. johnsons sister tells us her younger sibling didn't have any enemies. she says johnson was quote "perfect"...she liked to read and enjoyed being a babysitter. she says she had just seen her sister that afternoon...then she got a phone call with the awful news. 30 minutes. and police need your help finding those responsible. police say they started their spree at the walgreens near 91st and appleton on december 7th. they stole an item and ran out with it. 20 minutes later-- they hit up the family dollar across the street. and then they moved on to the dollar tree near 103rd and silver spring. police say an employee there tried to stop them-- only to be punched. three in 30 minutes surprises me, but crime doesnt surprise me, any longer, in milwaukee. milwaukee used to be a great city, but its, slowly, deteriorating. you know, its becoming the crime center of the world, seems lik know? if you recognize the suspects-- give police a call. we are learning new information about a fire last night in cudahy. firefighters say they responded to an electrical fire at condominium on creekside drive. everyone was able to get out o-k...and no one was hurt. multiple fire departments were called in to help fight the blaze. investigators say the fire does not

into what sparked the fire. president-elect donald trump making a stop in wisconsin today. this comes as he is ready to make another big announcement about his cabinet. kim is in the newsroom with details. the president elect has announced his choice for secretary of state today. mister trump is tapping exxon mobil c-e-o rex tillerson. this pick could lead to a potential fight with congress. tillerson has no foreign policy experience...but does have close connections with many world leaders. some are about tillerson's connections with russian president vladimir putin. tillerson has worked for exxon mobil for 40 years. through the end of 20-15..he made more than 240 million dollars as c-e-o. and later today -- president-elect donald trump will be making a stop in west allis. he's holding a thank you rally at the state fair expo center at 7:00. mr. trump and vice president-elect mike pence will both be there. governor scott walker and house speaker paul ryan will also be attending. doors open at 4 pm.

wisconsin tonight on fox six news. wisconsin's recount is over -- and president-elect donald trump actually added to his lead-- gaining 131 votes. the elections commission certified the results a day ahead of the federal deadline, guaranteeing that congress will recognize wisconsins 10 electoral votes. green party candidate jill stein requested the recount after concerns were raised that the state's voting machines may have been hacked. the commission says it found no such evidence. "the commissions job was t they did not hack our system." we don't yet know the actual cost of the recount, but stein must pay the bill. this morning - milwaukee's common council is set to vote on a proposal... to phase out the citys lead laterals. angelica's in studio with the very latest. this proposal would give property owners financial assistance in replacing lead pipes with copper. the city would cover two thirds of the cost. the payments would be incremental. an estimated 70-thousand homes in milwaukee are impacted by lead laterals.
