authorities there say a man suspected of shooting and killing a delaware state trooper outside a convenience store remains barricaded inside a home this morning. the suspect has reportedly fired shots at officers as they tried to negotiate a peaceful surrender. this has been going on since early yesterday. 32 year old cpl. stephen ballard was shot several times around noon wednesda. the trooper approached a car in the parking lot of a wawa convenience store near bear delaware. state police say the vehicle had two suspicious people inside. mcqueen says one man got out of the car and shot ballard several times before running away. the other man was arrested at the scene.

president trump has informed leaders of mexico and canada that he will not immediately pull out of the north american free trade agreement, just hours after administration officials said he was considering a draft executive order to do just that. the white house says it is working to renegotiate the deal. more now on the increasing tensions between the united states and north korea. a missile defense system now being installed-- triggering protests in south korea. the system is being set up 155 miles south of seoul. some south korean residents are protesting saying the missile defense technology could make their homes a target in the event of a north korea attack. this comes after president trump-- takes a rare step. wednesday-- all 100 senators- were invited to the

eric frein is now on death row. a jury in pennsylvania sentenced him to death yesterday.. a week after he was found guilty. frein shot two pennsylvania troopers, one fatally, in the pocono mountains, back in 20-14. prosecutors said frein was hoping to start an uprising against the government when he opened fire. frein's lawyers say they'll appeal the sentence. a debate is underway about a bill that would place stricter limits on air b-n-b's in the district. the d.c. council held a hearing on the issue last night.. and it was packed. anna-lysa gayle has more. outdoor clothing maker "patagonia" is
