started as a waterspout over the chesapeake bay before moving on land. winds reached up to 135 miles an hour.. tearing thourgh townhomes and leveling other buildings completely. amazingly, there was only one serious injury reported. this time yesterday as many as 8 thousand people were in the dark now, delmarva power is reporting only about 80 outages. they expect to have everything restored by eleven am. senator john mccain is returning to washington today for the first time since his brain cancer diagnosis for a crtical health care vote. the senate will hold a procedural vote on whether to start debate on repealing the affordable care act. but it remains unclear if there is enough republican support for that to happen, even with mccain's return. president trump is putting the pressure on g-o-p leaders. during a speech at the natio

being found inside a hot tractor trailer stopped at a walmart parking lot. one person who survived says bradley ignored their banging from inside the shipping container. this morning - new video is released of a deadly ambush of army green berets in jordan last november. you can see two solidiers returning fire and moments later trying to signal they were not a threat. then the gunman - a jordanian solider rushes the barriers where the two green berets took cover. after an exchange of gunfire - the american soliders were killed. a short time later a third u-s solider was gunned down at those barriers. the jordanian soldier was sentenced to life in prison. now to just a disturbing story out of california. an 18-year-old charged with killing her sister in a dui crash - she streamed live on instagram. the driver had two 14-year-old's in the back seat when she crashed into a barbed wire fenced and flipped over. video before the crash shows her singing and dancing to music as she drives. then afterwards - she acknowledged that she killed

surrounding attorney general jeff session. president donald trump has reportedly spoken with advisers about the consequences for firing the attorney general. this comes less than a week after the president publicly slammed sessions for his decision to recuse himself from all matters related to the russia investigation. when asked about the criticism last week-- attorney general sessions said that he had no plans to resign. it may be the most dramatic day yet in the health care showdown on capitol hill. senator john mccain will return to washington for the first time since his brain cancer diagnosis for a make or break vote. this - as the president continues to put on the pressure. sam sweeney is live

recommendations to use "smart checks" and other measures to secure the site... more police will be in the area until those measures are installed. those metal detectors were installed after arab gunmen killed two police officers earlier this month. a man is in custody, after a six-hour barricade situation in centreville, virginia. the incident began around 3:30 yesterday afternoon, when authorities received a domestic call. officers found the man outside, and his wife with minor injuries. the man then went inside and refused to come out. police finally went in and began searching, as residents were pulled back for safety reasons. around nine p.m., police confronted the suspect. they say he resisted arrest. he was finally taken into custody, th

checked out. criminal charges for a woman accused of leaving a toddler in a stroller at the potomac mills mall! christal lundy is charged with child neglect. she's the program director of a daycare from the ebenezer christian academy in woodbridge. the child's father telling abc-7 this morning a mall custodian cared for his son when he was abandoned. he wants that person to come forward so he can say thank you. an update now on the sterling chipotle outbreak... we first told you about last week. two people have tested positive... for the same strain of norovirus, after eating there. chipotle shut down the location for a day... after more than 135 people became ill. the health department says -- no illnesses have been reported, since it reopened. a confederate statue in montgomery county quietly removed over the weekend. crews lifted the statue off its pedestal next to the red brick courthouse in rockville. the 13-ton statue will be relocated on private property near white's ferry. the county says it did not announce the removal beforehand to avo
