scene out of charlottesville overnight.. thousands singing and gathering in a vigil for peace, on the same streets where hundreds of white nationalists marched over the weekend. the vigil - a stark and moving contrast to saturday's deadly violence. those protests this weekend were about moving this statue of robert e. lee in charlottesville. in the days since.. we've seen these scenes... play out all over the country. monuments swiftly removed- covered- and protested -- all for being symbols of the confederacy. and now in virginia - a sweeping new recommendation from the governor to move them all our question of the day - should confederate monuments be removed from city and state owned land? go to wjla.com/votenow and let us know.. suzanne kennedy is live in old town alexandria- where one of those monuments stands.
