cooler temperatures today with times of clouds and sun. 49 degrees is the daytime high. turning cloudy tonight and 35 degrees. tomorrow 46. a little rain possible. more rain by the middle of the week. the talk about that coming up. >> here's what people are talking about. the search is on for the two suspects or rather several suspects who gun down and in front of his home. weijia jiang has the latest from police and the heartbroken neighborhood. >> good morning, everyone. we've want this man was about to become a father. a least a crime is very rare in this area let alone something so violent. reported in gregory sears often talked with neighbors about how excited he was to become a father. they say his wife was due to give birth in a couple weeks. just before 2:30 saturday morning, he was gunned down right outside his home of the 8000 block of e in

valley. andy talbot lives of couple blocks away. >> we moved in about the same time in 2004. it was he and his wife, just a really nice couple. >> police say two men wearing masks approached seers who was in the driveway. police believe the suspects was trying to rob him when it turned into a deadly attack. i don't know if the men knew him or if they followed him home. >> this is where it happened right here. we woke up and were scared. >> shannon howard, her husband, and three children live right across the alley. the gunshots told him awake in more ways than one. >> are kids play outside daily. to know that something like that happened in your neighborhood, it is definitely disturbing. >> as families try to regain a sense of peace. loved ones try to make sense of the violence. a makeshift memorial is growing in the very spot he was killed and robbed of his life.

imo, police are still looking for a killer. a true crimestoppers is passing out these flyers offering $2000 for good information. police are saturating the area with extra patrol as the investigation continues. weijia jiang, eyewitness news. >> and funeral arrangements have not yet been finalized. four men are locked up after a bar fight in carroll county turned deadly. the men are accused of assaulting craig meyers at a bar last august. he later died from his injuries. michael johns and his two sons face several charges including second-degree murder, manslaughter, and a salt. all four men are being held without bond. a u.s. airman and guys and makes the ultimate sacrifice while serving overseas. military officials say 24 you will matthew siegler died in

afghanistan thursday when a roadside bomb hit his vehicle. two other airman also died in the attack. he was assigned to peterson air force base in colorado. two people are struck and killed while crossing a street in prince george's county. police say the driver never stopped. investigators say 55 euros mike of comments and 52-year-old mildred freeman were crossing the street friday when the car hit them and kept going. the two later died from injuries. police are now searching for a gray compact car in connection with the crime. for the first -- excuse me. you pay presidential hopefuls cored up again last night in one of the final debate before tuesday's new hampshire primary. mitt romney had a substantial lead in the latest polls, but his fellow candidates are in a tight race for second place. >> reporter: the gop candidate showed up ready to spar. this time rick santorum got

yesterday. i visited chicago recently and they had the same thing going on. people walking around without coats. it was wonderful. >> we just kind of feel like it is going to be a swing. we are going to pay for all of us. >> is it going to hit us quick. >> not today and not tomorrow. it is going to definitely start to feel a little more winter like ibm of the week. let's talk about what's going on right now. 66 degrees yesterday or yet these are not record highs. the records are in the 70s, but we've definitely had temperatures about 20 degrees above average. average now is about 41 degrees. we would love to have had the games this week when temperatures have been very mild. next week is a little chillier. definitely a bit of a shift in temperatures between now and next monday. but let's talk about how it starts to play out. 39 degrees now.

relative humidity at 61%, south wins at 3 miles per hour even though we had a front moved through yesterday evening into last night. winds have remained coming in from the south. that's still bringing in the very mild air. 30.22 is the barometer reading. high pressure is in control even though the front came through. typically, france comes through and change things completely but they didn't do much this time except for knock temperatures back. 28 right now in oakland, 29, and some of 39 out 10, 30 on the shore. temperatures closer to about 30 degrees. 39 columbia, 38 rock hall, 40 down toward dc. those winds from the south are coming in across central maryland, southwest winds in hagerstown. a bit of a northwest component down in dc, but the winds are reflecting high pressure that is in control of our forecast. we had a front come through. let's explain how this

happened. the front came through very dry, didn't have any moisture associated with it at all. it did allow for high pressure to build and. the highest to the north. it allows for cool air to move in from near canada. the next rainmaker comes on tuesday night into wednesday. it's coming in from the south. the system forming around texas will be bringing in gulf oysters of the temperatures go back up but we have a better chance of rain wednesday night into thursday. that error starts to move to the east. by tuesday we start to see more and more cloud cover and rain coming in from the south takes temperatures back into the 50s. after that moves out of here, another front come through. temperatures started out. we see a bit of a change heading into next week, but we have to see just how far they dropped because we are starting at a high around 50 degrees or so by the middle of the week. by the next high tide at fort mchenry, about 49 degrees

>> sunday morning, january 8th. taking a look out over a pretty quiet, pretty calm downtown area. of course, the column from last week's fireworks, the stadium column from last week's aim, that's going to change next week. temperatures change as well. let me give you an idea of what's going on. a front moved through yesterday. you are seeing a little bit of that activity around norfolk and moving off the coast, but high pressure around chicago is what is bringing in some of the cooler it. what we are watching over the next few days or so is the low pressure system around the gulf bringing in range. our graphic looks like this. it kind of plays out what's going on. high pressure of bringing in cooler air. temperatures going down. today i've are wrong 50s. still very mild considering

that our normal high for this time of year is 41. it is somewhat colder than yesterday. 49 degrees today. tonight is 35. turning cloudy and a chance of rain just because of all of the transitions going on. 46 degrees tomorrow afternoon. no major washout but maybe a little damp. you are five-day forecast coming up in a few moments. >> thinks. first, turning to some other stories people are talking about. a paramedic in connecticut is accused of raping a patient in the back of the evidence on the way to the hospital. 49-year old mark paul was writing with an unconscious woman who fell and hit her on christmas day. the victim was -- says that powell is sexually assaulted her. when she woke up, she wasn't able to escape because she was strapped to a stretcher. police charged pole with sexual assault and on lawful restraint. a top iranian official says

central maryland. winds are a bit variable around the state. we have front country yesterday. all it did really in the nature of the culture is typically bring us colder temperatures. it brought us cooler temperatures, but it's not very cold up there. the front moved on through. it's sitting off the coast of virginia for the most part. moving on out of here, but behind it temperatures dropping as high pressure builds in an brings us some of the cooler air. imagine being near chicago. even around the great lakes, it only rained where the lake of facts may be because the temperatures are so mild it is not below freezing around parts of lake michigan and up around the upper peninsula. high pressure now still in control of our forecast because of the changes in the temperatures we may see a light shower or so tomorrow as clouds move in. we have a low pressure system very close to us moving across the
