3 caucuses are two weeks from today.. and the democrats debated in charleston south carolina last night.hillary clinton, bernie sanders and martin o'malley appeared just blocks from the site of the deadly mass shooting at emanuel a-m-e church.sanders and clinton are neck and neck in iowa right now.. and last night's debate was much less friendly than what we've seen so far.kim hutcherson reports. 3 democratic presidential candidates took the stage in charleston amid a tightening race between hillary clinton and bernie sanders.on sunday night the gloves came off.as expected, the candidates clashed on gun control.sanders hit out at clinton:(bernie sanders/democratic presidential candidate)"well i think secretary clinton knows what she says is disingenuous

a local college is recognized as one of the best for nursing students.the university of cincinnati college of nursing's online graduate program is number eight in the country.that's according to u.s. news & world report.the u- c program rose from number 61 in last year's ranking of 149 nursing schools.the rankings were based on factors including academic and career support services, selectivity of admissions, graduation rates and program reputation. 3 you can still find a room for super bowl weekend.but it's going to cost you.prices are *hundreds more* than normal. according to travel site trip advisor.. santa cruz has the cheapest rates at 273 dollars per night.but that's an hour drive from levi stadium!san francisco will cost you.. averaging 479 dollars per night.not only are the rates expensive.. but a lot of hotels are locking guests in. some hotels have a three- night minimum and have to pay up front... and most bookings are non refundable. 3 (1:05) what most hotels are

3 a local high school basketball team is helping people all over the world. the deer park girls basketball team hosted reading this weekend for the annual "barefoot game." the coaches went barefoot to highlight the millions of people around the world who don't have shoes. money from the game will go to samaritan's feet .. a group which provides shoes to close to ten million people. 3 people going to see "kinky boots" at the aronoff center

3 right now.. the u- s embassy confirms that "several" americans are missing in iraq. an embassy spokesman says the u- s is "working in full cooperation with iraqi authorities" to find the missing americans.an arab news channel is reporting that *three* people have been kidnapped by militias in baghdad.meanwhile.. the u- s embassy won't identify the missing americans or say what they were doing in iraq.that's because of quote - "privacy concerns." 3 the coast guard says it has no

suspending the search for 12 u-s marines.they are missing after their two helicopters crashed off hawaii late thursday. the coast guard says families will be notified in advance when officials plan to end the search. crews have been searching around- the- clock off oahu, despite high surf. 3 for the first time in 18- months, we can show you the picture of jason rezaian out of an iranian jail.this is the washington post reporter after arriving in switzerland yesterday.rezaian was arrested and later convicted of espionage, which was widely denounced.but iran released him and four other americans, in a prisoner swap deal with the u-s.rezaian and two others are now in germany, but it's unclear when they'll continue their journey homeat last check.. they are at a base getting a medical check up. 3 (mary rezaian, jason rezaian's mother): (:11)"i want to thank everyone around the world who has been working on his behalf to bring him home. candidates will all attend at martin luther king day event this morning on the steps of the south carolina state house. 3 dozens of volunteers will be at the freestore foodbank's mayerson distribution center today. they'll be preparing food to help hungry children. local 12's perry schaible joins us *live* from their distribution center with the details. 3 this is the freestore foodbank's eighth annual power pack-a-thon in honor of martin luther king day of service. volunteers will gather here at the distribution center at noon to put together the packs. it's a bag full of nutritious of food given to grade school students on fridays. the packs ensure kids in need have something healthy to eat over the weekends. more than four-thousand tri-state children get power packs from the freestore every week. they are given out at local schools like oyler elementary in price hill where more than 300 students get the food. if you

3 the reds hall of fame and museum is offering half off admission today.it's in honor of martin luther king junior day. it's five dollars for adults and four for students and seniors.the museum is open from ten to five.and all visitors will get a free stars of the queen city exhibit poster.the exhibit has pieces representing each of the 100 different players in reds history chosen to represent the queen city at the m-l-b all-star game. 3 the national underground railroad freedom center is offering *free* admission today.the museum has a copy of the emancipation proclamation on display.the museum also just aquired, for a limited time, a special copy of the 13th amendment.you can see it for a discounted rate of five dollars.the cincinnati museum center is also hosting free activities today from ten to five. 3 more than two million people do it.so it must be fun, right? we'll show you how culinary school students are service up insects.

3 president barack obama is praising the powers of diplomacy in dealing with iran. this, as the nuclear deal struck with the government in tehran takes effect... and detained americans are returning home after a prisoner swap made public over the weekend.the president went on to say saturday marked a milestone in ensuring iran does not get a nuclear weapon. 3 obama) (:00) "as i've said many times, the nuclear deal was never intended to resolve all of our differences with iran. but still, engaging directly with the iranian government on a sustained basis for the first time in decades has created a unique opportunity. a window to try to resolve important issues."
