hillary clinton in south carolina, winning overwhelming support of african-americans. the front runner saying to opponent bernie sanders and looked ahead to races. ms. clinton: we will compete for every vote in every state. we are not taking anything, and we not taking anyone for granted. senator sanders: i congratulate secretary quinton on a strong victory. aixa: sanders, who admits she was all -- he was all but unknown in south carolina when the race began, stomped into other states of for grabs on super tuesday. the senator, whose victory has only been in new hampshire so far, says the campaign is just beginning. senator sanders: i will ask for your vote, but i need more from that -- than that from you. i need your help the day after the general election, because i
aixa: more than 850 democratic delegates are at stake on super tuesday. stephanie: thank you. republican presidential hopefuls are busy on the campaign trail as well ahead of super tuesday. donald trump campaigned with new jersey governor chris christie in arkansas today, attacking senator ted cruz and senator marco rubio. cruz was also in arkansas today, hosting a rally in little rock and stopping in atlanta earlier today. senator marco rubio spent the day campaigning in georgia and alabama. state and some college professor chris galdieri stopped by our newsroom this evening. he believes clinton will ride her south carolina victory momentum to success on super tuesday. >> i think winning south carolina is a big deal for her campaign. i think it shows that shes right hampshire and then it' s on to super tuesday where shes running in a lot of favorable territory . stephanie: and today hillary clinton announced plans to return to new england. both democratic candidates will
