fire has displaced families. anchor: what follows as we move into the weekend. anchor: a rash of burglaries. the arrest police made in connection to it. and holiday shoppers taking advantage of lack friday deals. >> no one covers new hampshire like we do. w shelley: we are falling breaking news out of mancheer. tonight seven to eight families are displaced after a two-alarm apartment building fire, good evening. i'm shelley walcott. the manchester fire chief says the fire most likely started by improper disposal of smoking materials. wmur's mike cronin is live on scene with the very latest. mike: the fire chief says there are more than 100 apartments in

a few slick spot as we get near 32. what about saturday and sunday? we will look at that, straight ahead. shelley: tonight, police in two lakes region communities are working together on trying to find out who may be responsible for a rash of burglaries in their towns. wmur's suzanne roantree is in laconia where an a may have been the break they were looking for. suzanne: over the last few days laconia police have gotten reports of thefts from various businesses and parked cars along route 107. survllance cameras in the area show a man rummaging through cars and taking tools. a trailer that was parked in the lot at gilbert and sons block company was also stolen. on wednesday morning the owners of greenwood auto along route 106 in belmont reported to police that overnight someone
a new hampshire dealer license plate were missing. the items immediately were put into a statewide database. thursday night while on patrol a laconia police officer pulled over a car being driven by 21-year-old scott angers. >> while he was conducting an investigation on that vehicle they learned that the trailer attached to it was stolen they . vehicle two stolen license plates and the trailer. suzanne: angers was taken into custody. belmont police says one of the license plates that was found in his possesion matched the one stolen from greenwoods auto. belmont and laconia police are working together in the investigation. >> what property may be in one of the vehicles laconia stopped. i would say there is a good chance that all of the criminal activity is involved in what may come down to several people in
a class a felony of receiving stolen property. he also was arraigned in laconia district court on several misdemeanors unrelated to his latest arrest. in laconia, suzanne roantree. shelley: the manchester mother of two children police say were living in filthly living conditions is now facing child endangerment charges. 27-year-old samantha grenier was arrested or arraigned on charges today. the father of the children, james grenier was arrested ie home they found the children in extremely unsanitary and unsafe conditions, with human and animal feces scattered throughout the home. tonight, a roadway is back open after a car crashed into a telephone pole in londonderry. officials say hall road was closed for hours as crews replaced the pole. they say a car lost control, hit the pole and ended up in an embankment. we're told the people inside the car were trapped and live wires
threatening injuries. a single car crash in belmont todaclosed union road while emergency crews rescued both the driver and passenger trapped inside. belmont fire officials say the accident happened as the driver failed to negotiate a sharp curve along union road. the car flipped on its side and slammed into a tree. the jaws of life were brought to help. >> it took us about 20 minutes. we had to cut through the car to actually, there were two patients. a female and a male threat to the hospital. shelley: festivities on where the tree was lit under the state house. last week, lights were lit out
