now with details on why the flames were who hard to put out. >> this is a four aher fire. we know it started yesterday at noon. take a look at where this happened. you can't even tell the two businesses used to be here. we're told this fire started at roberts cabinets and tops. we're told it spread from that shop to a comic store next door. we're told it jumped around and came dangerously close to houses in the area. firefighters were on scene for hours. they came here at noon yesterday when the flames were really starting to roar and then they were here through the night. we talked with some people in this area and say this was very scary. we also talked with the fire chief and he explains why this fire was so hard to fight. >> we made an initial attack inside and saw very quickly that
fell back to a defense tact and used a ladder, hand lines and at this point, things down, we're waiting to go in and move the materials around so we can do a good overhaul job. >> yeah, as for the owners of these two businesses we talked with some of their friends and neighbors. they say they are devastated both of them have been in this community for years. the cabinet shop owner has been here for 41 years. coming up we're going to hear from them at 6:00. investigators continue to look into what sparked this fire in raleigh. flames broke out at a home yesterday. crews tell us that one person had to be taken inhalation. overnight the 14-year old girl who survived a mass
breathing on her own and is in serious condition. doctors took her off of a ventilator and she was taken to the hospital in critical condition. her heart stopped at one point but then squeezed her mother's hand. right now three men under arrest after police say they opened fire with an ak 47 in uptown charlotte. about 40 to 50 shots were fired just before dawn on sunday. the hotel lobby and two vehicles were sprayed with bullets. guards recorded the license plate of a car that was fleeing the scene and police say they found weapons inside but no one was hurt. a road rage incident led to a car crash and shooting but it was a family on their way to total stranger. a man ran to the aid of the victims in his sunday best. despite the detour the family still made it to
event which was a dedication for their infant son. >> good for them. all right today the man charged in connection with a deadly crash in fayetteville is set for court. police say the 21-year old was drunk when he ran off the road just before 2:00 in the morning sunday. the wreck happened on strictland bridge road. one of the passengers, a 20-year old was killed and another person in the car injured. residents in fayetteville evenly split when it comes to the controversy around the city's seal. it depicts a marketed house where slaves are were once sold. the fayetteville observer first reported the new results of a consultant's finding and the city council said it was willing to consider new design ideas and wand community input. a mom and her twin girls safe this morning after being reported missing. the sheriffs office says her and her twins were reported missing early sunday morning. the sheriffs office says once word got out
