o durham area. looks like a pretty quiet start. not too much company out there on the roads. we begin with breaking news. overseas police in thailand are trying to figure out who's responsible for a wave of deadly bomb blasts. multiple explosions hit four cities overnight. killing four and wounding dozens more. u.s. and other governments are advising citizens to be extra careful. more breaking news out of fayetteville where two people shooting. police say just before 1:00 this morning several people were involved in a fight at a store parking lot on north eastern boulevard. during the melee shots were fired. the two men struck are at the hospital. right now we don't no if any arrests have been made. this morning we may learn more about the shooting in broad daylight that killed a mother of three. >> fayetteville detectives searched for a suspect since it happened on tuesday. and they now say he's behind
with what we know. >> reporter: police say christopher lee is charged with the death of angela taylor. she was shot in the stomach as she walked down the street on tuesday. police picked up lee yesterday and charged him with first degree murder. fayetteville police say this happened around 6:30 in the evening near andy and ike streets. a man who was presumed to be lee was chewed op surveillance video driving away from the scene on a motorcycle. police say that christopher lee into some sort of argument short by before he's accused of shooting her. >> we know that she had been involved in some type of disturbance with someone prior to that. but they're still trying to put the pieces together to find out what occurred prior to her being shot and why this person ended up shooting her. >> christopher lee is in the cumberland county jail. he's scheduled to make his first court appearance later this morning. friends and family are grieving after a taxi driver was shot and killed in durham.
the la quinta inn off nc high warm and muggy 55. friends and co-works identified the victim as ameer suliman. durham police say he was shot multiple times and later died at a hospital. his co-workers say it happened during an attempted robbery. friends and family came together thursday at a nearby mosque to remember him. he leaves behind a wife and kids. >> he's a father of two. he's a great man. very kind. very around. >> durham police have not announced any arrests or publicly identified any suspects in the shooting. right now johnston county deputies are investigating a shooting that sent one man to a hospital. deputies responded to a home on wayman way around 7:00 last night. one man is in custody. at last check the victim was in serious condition. >> there's no word on if the two are related but deputies say there is no threat to the

on highway 98 alerting us to the incident. it began around 3:45 yesterday morning at the bexley apartments. they tried to stop a white lexus but lost it. hours later they were called to a home nearby. >> the man has cinco de mayo to the dard in needed medical attention. that's when they discovered the crash scene. >> we reed a call from someone who had requested help and so our officers responded, ems they realized that this person had been involved in that chase two hours earlier. >> authorities identified the driver as 20-year-old samad shaheem lucas. they say he suffered a broken back and pelvis and he's been charged with felony speeding to elewd arrest. people in fayetteville told city officials how they feel about the possibility of abyss ball stadium coming to ton. city leaders have wedge speak with the houston astros, as

facing child sex crimes. walter is charged worth third degree sexual exploitation of a minor. police say he took pictures of children in the school and investigators say they were touched off last fall regarding the pictures, after somebody printed them at a drugstore. the pictures showed young girls in the cafeteria. the north carolina man is free this morning after he spent decades in a wilmington prison for murder. a judge ruled there was not enough evidence to justif was murdered back in 1988. no one was hurt after a propane tank exploded causing a small fire at a high rise in downtown raleigh. it happened on fayetteville street. firefighters were able to quickly knock it out. this morning officials are still trying to account for everybody after a deadly apartment fire in silver spring, maryland. artless two are dead after a --
apartment building caught fire. more than 30 people including firefighters had to go to the hospital for treatment. a 3-year-old boy's in the hospital this morning after he fell from a wooden rollercoaster in pennsylvania. officials at the idlewild near pittsburgh say the boy was riding with his brother, he was thrown from the roller coastish, fell about 12 feet. he was conscious and talking when crews air lifted him to the hospital. meanwhile two of the three girls injured after falling from a ferriee home. the 10-year-old and the 16-year- old were released from the hospital last night. the 6-year-old, though, is still in critical condition. all three fell roughly 35 feet following a mechanical error. if you missed the show going on in the sky last night, you have another chance tonight to see the perseid meteor shower. it averages 100 meteors per hour but this one expected to bring even more. forecasters are predict the

a 10-month-old dog that had his mouth taped shut and was left to die is recovering and looking for a home gashes around his mouth and his body was just skin and bones. he immediately took him to a vet. they believe someone tamed his mouth shut and in the process he hurt himself. vets performed emergency surgery. >> i teared up. >> i thought why, how could anybody do anything? and the thing is, this dog is the sweetest dog.
affectionate. >> a suspected shoplifter led police on a chase through the streets of dallas, texas. investigators say the man got into a fight with a loss prevention officer at a store and took off. in addition to the units on the ground police also chased the man from a helicopter. he was arrested without incident. some people and business owners in canada have had enough. and are now filing a css go's creator. one of the complaints said visitors kept invading her home and privacy. the creator of the game removed her home but there are other people complaining saying hundreds of people go to their homes early in the morning trampling in their -- trampling in their yards. >> i think the lawsuit was just an attempt to get attention to something that is at peril and
