live from cleveland's newscenter driven by don joseph toyota in kent. this is cleveland 19 news. >> mark: it was a hot pursuit that ended with officers firing dozens of shots. two people died in the 2012 chase. it was just one case and we know more than 300 people have been killed in law enforce past three decades. that is what led to police agencies in our state getting new guidelines. dani carlson went to the attorney general's special report. >> romona: there are specific guidelines but no new mandated training. is that right. >> reporter: right. that was important as i was looking through this. it says training is recommended for officers and nothing can be mandated without new funding and it outlines specifics that it recommends officers and agencies
out to me especially considering the police chase leading to the shooting deaths of the timothy russel and melissa williams that the number of pursuit cars should be limited to two, possibly three unless specifically approved by a supervisor. the report also recommends officers consider how serious the crime is that the suspect allegedly did and decide if a chase is worth the risk to public safety. it outlines recommendations how officers in the dispatchers and supervisors should communicate during a pursuit and says agencies should decide in advance what type of pursuit policy their agency should have. another major thing, the group actually recommended agencies should have to send data about pursuits to the state and the state should start a database to put all that information together, guys to take a look at all the data and figure out what are the best practices for police pursuits moving on.
and information three decades worth there. >> reporter: a lot of different stuff. >> mark: thank you, dani. >> romona: we know rivalries can get intense. after the world series police are investigating an assault case. take a look. this is at eagle on ontario. a man in a cleveland shirt hit a man wearing a cubs jersey. allen anderson from illinois was knocked out cold. the witness who got this video claims it was an argument that got out police are investigating and so far they have not found the suspect. >> mark: there were good things happening last night including lebron showing his love for our city. catherine bosley finding out about the message he got out last night and how you might want to help spread it, too. >> reporter: the indians lost and lebron james sent out a winning statement from all of us to the world from progressive
that could not be more simple. >> to the left! hit the wall...it is gone. >> reporter: we know how lebron james gets into a game that's not his own. his show at the world series game 7 is one to remember and more so, it is a shirt. >> i saw that. it is really nice. where did he get that from? >> reporter: cleveland or nowhere. to many it means so much. >> i would like one. >> what does it mean cleveland or nowhere. >> tis happening. >> oh, yeah. i will get me wing. i have to have one of them. cleveland or nowhere. if you don't live here you live nowhere. >> it was big talk on social media after lebron was captured for the world to see. people taking note here. >> we have the water. we have the weather. we have the people. we have everything. >> reporter: that shirt says it all? >> it says all of it. >> it comes from a creative
or nowhere tea, paris or nowhere. and who would have thought cleveland would be next in this apparel line. >> i am feeling the shirt. i like it. it is great. >> i could find it, i would buy it. >> reporter: where the heck did he get the shirt. >> it was on sale at saks fifth avenue. no shirts but you can buy them on-line on their web site and we checked on their web site and they said they are sold looks like lebron james might have started a trend. imagine that. getting answers in cleveland catherine bosley, cleveland 19. >> jeff: thank you, catherine. parma or nowhere. that will be the next one. why not. we have cloud cover in place right now. obviously you are feeling the temperature drop here. don't be surprised if you feel a shower, a little spritz or something like that later on this evening.
dry stretch. a little cooler, 54 tomorrow and near 60 saturday and sunday up to 64. sunny and monday 66. it is a tranquil weather pattern setting up here and no alert days. the next 7. it will carry us through election day and middle part of next week. >> all right 46 the low tonight spot shower possible around could start if that happens. >> cloudy akron-canton 46 and tomorrow still mostly cloudy and it will take awhile for the lake-effect cloud cover to clear out of here. 54 the high. i think we will see more sun late day. by 5:00 partly cloudy and 53. still a fair amount of clouds. tomorrow night we will go clear. chilly for the friday night football games and saturday we rebound close to of 0.
you know, you can't say they didn't give a day off. they gave a great shot. the cubs was the better team going down the stretch. >> mark: lebron was there last night and he went berserk when davis hit the homer just a little after j.r. took his shirt off when they put him on the scoreboard. what a night. a bad ending. what a night. next year two main pieces of the loin up they need to make player and big part of the team. he was awesome. they will try to get him back. mike napoli is a free agent. he is 35. career year and huge part of the offense and big part of the club and didn't hit much in september or october and if another team comes with a ridiculous contract offer, the indians might have to say good-bye and look for production elsewhere. good news all the arms are coming back. >> our pitching and core players
us. but so much happens that you just don't know. we didn't have brantly the whole year. we were not counting on that. i mean we should get salazar back, carrasco back. they don't have anything going that should keep them out. things happen. you hope you are deep enough where you can overcome some things. as long as you have pitching, you seem you always chance. >> mark: the pitch. i mentioned they put j.r. on the scoreboard and responded by taking his shirt off which he was famous for after cavs won and shirtless for days and moments later davis hit the huge home run in the 8th inning. hilarious and absurd all at once. >> no. we just seen it happen. when guys seeing it at home is when we found out the shirt came off as well.
putting a wife to work is
a very dangerous thing. when i come home and dinner's not ready i go through the roof. grab 'em by the p****". when you're a star, they let you do it. you can do anything. more accusers coming forward to say they were sexually assaulted by donald trump. i'll go backstage before a show... yes.. and everyone's getting dressed. dressing room while contestants, some as young as 15 were changing. standing there with no clothes. you see these incredible looking women. i'd look her right in that fat ugly face of hers. she ate like a pig. a person who's flat-chested is very hard to be a 10. do you treat women with respect? uh... i can't say that either. alright, good.
