we have a geyser sending water soaring into the sky over northeast philly, that the water has been flowing, all night long. we're their life, we will let you know why workers aren't even trying to stop it right now. >> wow. >> good morning everyone, it is thursday january 15th i'm ukee washington. i'm nicole brewer. lets start off with check have of traffic and weather together. katie and vittoria checking it out for us. >> good morning everybody. vittoria, all things are tranquil here in the weather department today. not necessarily be able to say that down the road here but for now it is very quiet. we have a weak dome of high pressure in place. we do still have some cloud just a little hint of sunlight trying to peak through outside middletown ship high school in cape may courthouse 29 degrees modest northwest breeze but there we have it on storm scan no additional precipitation but knees these left over cloud. temperatures have in the budged that much in the last few hours. we are at 30 degrees as we have been for a few hours at philly international. sixteen in mount pocono. this is where we bottom out because sunnies popping up over the horizon. it is in the necessarily the brightest sunny day we have every seen but we are expecting some sun a along the way. upper 30's out there both down the shore and in the city chillier in the mountains. vittoria. >> thanks very much, katie. >> it is definitely rush hour out there in a few areas, specifically the schuylkill and i-95 but as we go to other areas like traveling on 476 traveling on the schuylkill expressway you will notice
some volume here and there. if you are traveling on the schuylkill expressway in the too far from 476 in this shot here it is not awful but eastbound we are feeling the heat of some rush hour traffic approaching the blue route and then make your way down toward gladwynn and vine street expressway westbound we are seeing delays approaching city avenue roosevelt boulevard and just beyond gladwynn as well. ben franklin bridge is doing okay in, to the westbound direction down toward eighth and vine anticipate rush hour volume there. twelve is your average on schuylkill expressway. we are lower that be 45 miles an hour. we are seeing delays near a contacted mist down through to the vine traveling southbound also some volume on the north or southbound side of the roosevelt boulevard no delays, however for mass transit. ukee. >> vittoria, thank you. lets update breaking news from northeast philadelphia where water gushes out of the fire service connection line almost 12 hours after it was first reported. >> "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabao is live where crews will return in an hurry to shut off that valve right jan, good morning. >> reporter: nicole and ukee good morning. crews are expect to return around 8:00 o'clock this morning. here we are 12 hours after this started and that geyser is still gushing here in northeast philadelphia. the top of that column of water reaching the top of those trees and now that it is brighter you can see all of the ice cakes on the branches this main broke at 7:00 last night. water crews work hours to get a fix in place but could. they will be back on the scene in about an hour now. this main break has looked
more like a geyser here at grant avenue and blue grass road at the height of the break water was shooting about 200 feet in the air. the philadelphia water department say 10-inch main is a fire service connection so no water service has been impact to water customers in the area. that is good news. crews however were working on the problem here for nearly five hours last night, one worker was injured and taken to the hospital in stable condition and because working conditions became unsafe at the scene and so icy crews stopped for the the night and that is why they are not working here this morning. they are running into some problems. >> it has been a challenge finding proper valves and fining right connection to the location but we are working a as quickly as we can to get this shut down. >> reporter: chopper three was over the scene here in northeast philadelphia last night. certainly a sight to see. we have had a lot of water main breaks here in philadelphia throughout the last couple of days. they are typical for this time of the year with the freeze/thaw cycle but certainly nothing like we're seeing here in northeast philadelphia. in cause for this water main break this morning. crews expect to be back on the scene in been an hour now. we are reporting live jan carabao for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". now new this morning a portion of i-95 was closed for hours following a fatal accident in mercer county, new jersey. authorities tell us that a driver was killed when their car slammed in the back of the parked tractor trailer on the side of the road. it happened around 3:30 in hopewell township. all lanes in that area are now reopened, on the highway.
>> new video this morning as police search parents home of murder suspect kyle crosby in gloucester township. authorities removed his daughter from the house and placed her in the care of child protective services. crosby is accused of killing his wife 26 year-old erika crippen. >> we cannot eat or sleep. we are just praying to god that he will make her way home. >> erika crippen's body has in the been found. she was last seen two weeks ago after a night out with her husband. kyle crosby was arraigned on murder charges on tuesday. also new fire investigators in camden county are searching for cause of the overnight house fire. it happened just after midnight, on marsay place in sicklerville. a woman called 911 after she came home and found fire in her kitchen. she was able to get out safely but her dog died in the blaze. the red cross is now working to help the home owner. developing news overnight caesars entertainment main business unit has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. caesars entertainment operating company says its casinos including three in atlantic city will continue to operate. the company struggled after missing out on the casino boom in asia. your time is seven credit 056789 an ohio man ace rested for allegedly plot to go blow up the the you had capitol building. the his post object social media helped fbi spoil his plans. cbs news correspondent susan mcginnes is live in washington with more for us, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, ukee. the christopher cornell was making threats begins members of congress as early as last summer and was planning an
attack here at u.s. capitol but that plan was foiled by investigators, outside of a gun range in southwestern ohio. fbi officials say they stopped 20 year-old christopher cornell as he was taking final steps to travel to washington and execute his plan. accord together criminal complaint his plan was to kill employees and officers working in and around the u.s. cap tomorrow. his plot was foiled outside this gun range in southwestern ohio. while he allegedly bought two semiautomatic rifles and 600 round of ammunition police were waiting outside to arrest him. >> by that time the agents had come across a parking lot and two agents were on top of him, two or three. >> reporter: court documents show corn hell used twitter name posted videos and other materials on line supporting isis. his father says he was a kid who somehow lost his way. >> i believe he was really vulnerable and i believe he was co hersed in a lot of ways. >> reporter: last summer cornell allegedly told an fbi informant i believe we should wage jihad under our own orders and plan attacks. lawmakers here on capitol hill are praising the fbi for stopping the plot. they also remain concerned about the growing threat of home grown terrorist n a statement house home land security commit thee chair michael mccall pressed the ad perfection to work to counter violent islamic streamism in the u.s. white house plans to hold a summit on the matter next month. cornell now faces federal charges, including trying to kill officers and employees of the federal government. ukee.

a is 24 miles an hour, we are seeing southbound delays out of the area of i would say academy through the vine. you will a's see breaks in the traffic but it will feel like a slow go the entire way. anticipate delays on 476, 422, 202 around malvern and taking a look into upper darby we have an accident at providence road at south avenue. be careful of that. in bristol new falls road at bristol oxford valley road, compromising a lane or two. something to avoid if you are traveling throughout that neighborhood. moving our way in wilmington delaware traveling foulke road between shiply and silverside we are dealing with the water main break compromising the roadway closing foulke road. in blackwood, new jersey a water main break closing east church street between indian and teresa lake. lake avenue is your best alternate there. the ukee. it base took school for more than 200 students in northeast fill after their entire school took a sick day. nazareth academy grade school on grant avenue closed yesterday so cleaning crews could disinfect the entire building. school officials say 55 of the schools 204 students were out sick monday and 75 students were out sick on tuesday. the principal says that many of the students have the same flu-like symptoms. >> fever, headache sneezing coughing, seeinges lacing from one day to the next we decide that had we had to do it. students will be remind todd wash their hand and to use hand sanitizer when they return to school later this morning, nicole. the the first woman within the statute of limittation
toss claim bill cosby sexually assaulted her has come forward. she filed an official complaint with lapd yesterday. christine laser has more now from los angeles. >> twenty-four year-old accuser was here at the police department for two hours meeting with detectives and filing her sexual assault complaint against bill cosby. more than 20 women have come forward saying that he sexually abused them but she is potentially first woman to have her case fall within the the statute of the limitations. chloe go ins claims the comedian sexually assaulted her in 2008 at the playboy mansion. she woke up in bed name with cosby licking her toes and touching himself. when he realize heed woke up he pulled his pants up and then left the room. she was only 18 at the time, like many of his other accusers she claims that cosby gave her a drink and she believes that she was drugged. we asked her attorney why now? >> why now? because is there power in numbers. because at some point when a young lady becomes abused, until there are others that come out and support what they have to say, it is a very scary thinges specially when you are one person and against and incredibly rich and powerful man. >> reporter: she did not talk at the news conference. her attorney says lapd has asked her not to speak with the media i did speak with the lapd and they say because this is potentially a sexual assault case they cannot comment on this. in downtown l.a. i'm christine laser. the fall out continues amid new allegations. one of cosby a's show next month in massachusetts has

update, crews have a arrived and shut that water off they did so just moment ago. >> "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabao is live at the scene on grant avenue on blue grass road with more information , jan. >> reporter: nicole and ukee, good morning. new information into "eyewitness news". i was just able to speak the with the water department spokesperson who says these crew where is able to get in earlier this morning, got right to work and as you have just said shut off that geyser. the the water is no longer flowing. they were supposed to be back on the scene around 8:00. they got here 15, 20 minutes before that and quickly shut down the the water. you can see what is left behind is a whole lot of ice that ice coating those branches and all over the ground in front of the trees this main broke at 7:00 last night. water crews worked hours trying to get a fix in place last night but at the end they had to return to the scene this morning. this main break looked like a geyser for hours overnight here on grant avenue and blue grass road and at the height of the break water was shooting 200 feet in the air. the philadelphia water department says that 10-inch main is a fire service
