accident with a charter bus and a tractor trailer on 380 northbound in toby hannah township. this is route 3 and toby. hanna exit number eight. the death toll has risen to three and some were trapped on the tour bus and four of them flown to father by trauma centers this crash happened after 10:00 this morning in the mt. pocono region the tractor trailer was traveling southbound and crossed the median and hit the bus head-on in the northbound lanes the cab of the tractor trailer landed in the woods on the side of the roadway and traffic is hut down in both directions and backed up for miles on both sides of interstate 380 chopper 6 hd is in route to the scene right now and we'll bring you updates during this newscast and also at in other news a worker was

injured when a crane toppled over in east falls it happened at pen charter school at 10:45 the crane toppled over and trapped the tree service worker and the worker was rushed to the hospital and school officials say he was responsive and talking at the time. no students or staff was in the area and the train belongs to a tree service company called in to remove a diseased tree. >> the man accused of killing a philadelphia police officer as he walked home following his shift has learned his fate. rafael jones will spend the rest of his life behind bars for the murder of moses walker jr. vernon odom joins us live now from center city with the details. >> reporter: good afternoon he is more than accused, he is convicted and has been for a while it's an emotional hearing at the scene and it featured

emotional impact statements from officer walker's family and they talked a cop killer rafael jones in his mid-50s, with a criminal record since he was 12 years old. >> the sentence has been passed down by judge jeffrey minehart who convicted jones. he shot and killed jeffrey moses jr. in 2012 at what was beginning as a robbery attempt. he was walking home from a bus stop after finishing his shift at the 21st police district. this carries a mandatory life sentence without parole. >> one other note, rafael jones showed no remorse whatsoever as the sentence was passed and is

on his way to be behind bars for the rest of his life with no opportunity for parole. live at the justice center in center city, vernon odom, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. delaware county authorities are investigating three fires that broke out along the same chester block in less than a week. it happened on the 400 block of bicly place and firefighters arrived and flames and heavy smoke coming from the row home, authorities however were first called to the block for a fire in an unoccupied home on saturday. and then early monday morning a fire started next door at a vacant house and that spread to neighboring homes and some believe this is no accident. >> i think that someone is interested in buying up these houses and getting them cheap and coming back rehabbing the houses and charging you an arm and leg. >> in total six row homes on the block are damaged or destroyed. more than 20 people are

anymore. >> adrian peterson says that the people that know him know his character and now he wants to focus on football. reporting live from washington karen travers, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. back to our breaking news now from the mt. pocono region chopper 6 hd over the scene of this horrific crash. we learn that two tractor trailers involved along with a charter bus here. one of the tractor trailers we know crossed the median and hit that charter bus head-on, this happened just after 10:00 this morning. more than a dozen people were injured and we now know three dead and four of the injured were flown to nearby trauma centers. initial reports say the tractor trailer was traveling southbound and one crossed the median and hit the bus head-on. the cab is out there in the woods and you can see the

police in connecticut are calling the discovery of two children dead in a home suspicious when police were called to the scene they found the home filled with natural gas and the children were disimportantant and the bodies were found inside of home and

again from the deadly accident from i-380 we are looking at chopper video from monroe county and the mt. pocono area, as we look live, three people are confirmed dead and several injured and there is video we are told for people rescued from the charter bus that are being treated at the scene we are looking at it for the first time a number of people taken off the charter bus be treated at the scene and they were air lifted to area hospitals and more than a dozen people injured and three people killed on this accident that happened on i-380 north in monroe county just after 10:00 this morning. we are continuing to follow this story for you but it's a scene where there was wreckage all over the area and they are trying to treat the number of people injured as they were rescued off this tour bus this
