without power here in brook haven officials set up a shelter at borough hall three people coming to get food. three people slept there last night and more people showing up for meals. delaware county is opening a shelter at ppl park they talked to philadelphia union officials yesterday so people can take a shower and have food as the cleanup efforts continue. another day of cleanup in delaware county. residents spent their wednesday trying to get their home in order after storm snapped trees and tore down power lines. >> i got caught driving in it. it was horrifying. >> i parked it was surreal. i thought for a second, this is not real. >> reporter: thousands remain without power several shelters open in the power hundreds have come to this shelter at borough

getting out of there may not be too cute. >> reporter: we'll have the parade of traffic that will be building. we're watching an issue organ the vine street expressway eastbound side it's a broken down van, i was trying to see if if they zoomed in with the camera. looks like a painted rubber ducky on the side. we have a whole bunch of downed trees and wires, from the storms on tuesday in westtown township, 926 is blocked pleasant grove road a possible alternate around that. locust grove road gets you around wawaset road. and southbound lanes of baltimore pike are blocked. smith bridge road or 322 gets you around that.

late in the day or this evening there's a chance of pop-up shower or thunderstorm. most of the daytime period is dry and that's good for you who want to head to penns landing or watch the tall ships this afternoon. there's a line of severe weather from denver extending to the east coast. areas south of philadelphia through south jest and delaware on the edge -- south jersey and delaware, on the edge of this, that means any storm that could form has the potential of gusty it's something to keep in mind. we have showers and recent thunderstorms in chicago/o'hare, no major delays yet, i would keep my eyes on the midwest and that line extending toward denver as we go in the afternoon and storms could wind up causing delays later. >> going on to "healthcheck," could vitamins be responsible for acne break outs?
