you, it is 6:00 a.m., saturday, february 27. here's some of the stories we're following for you on "action news," a teenager is the victim of a stabbing in south philadelphia. now police are looking for his attacker. a teenager who was beaten by a group of other teens speaking to "action news" you will hear what he said may be the reason for the attack. plus, new jersey governor chris christie surprises everyone by announcing he is supporting donald trump. right now chris sowers joins us with a look at the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. it's a cold start to the morning. >> reporter: it's a bitter start

school. officers believe there could be a third victim. chad perdelli has more on the investigation. >> reporter: jimmy falon's eye is swollen and bloody. he has a concussion after a group of teens jumped in at the municipal services buildings at jfk and broad yesterday afternoon. the first kid swung at me, i tried to defend myself. they started scrumming on me. ten minutes prior i'm telling my son i love him, i'm getting a phone call saying your son got beat up and he is laying there crying. >> reporter: the roman catholic freshlyman said a dozen students from another another school pummeled him. he walking from the train station when he was attacked. the phone was tracked to west philadelphia, but tim police have no suspects. tuesday, the philadelphia school district police septa and others

morning near the foot bridge of first avenue. the teen said the man came up behind her and physically and sexually assaulted her. if you recognize the man call police immediately. 18-year-old has been charged in the stabbing of a kutztown university student last weekend. police say he was visiting friends at the time of the attack. he was charged with attempted murder. the 23-year-old victim this morning remains in serious condition. 6:05 it is a tag team that has the political world talking. chris christie is campaigning for republican donald trump. the alliance was sealed at the trump tower 24 hours earlier and it is hoped that christy's moderate message could win gop voters. still uncertainty about trump.

wind. this is a mild storm, rain for midweek and possible thunderstorms maybe severe weather to the south. we get into friday, this is a different set up, we see another storm develop out through here, but this time instead of cutting to the west this will track to the south, that will lock in the cold. the question is how far south. there is a couple of storm tracks, if it takes this line here that's a complete miss, we won't see anything on friday. if the storm comes up farther to the north off the virginia capes off cape hatteras. it could bring rain mixed with snow. looks like the weekend overall looks good, wednesday is rain, maybe a thunderstorm, and friday we have to see if old man winter has a few tricks up his sleeves. looks like friday is it, once we

here wednesday that could bring a round of thunderstorms. we'll talk about this in the seven day when i see you in just a again. new this morning, a philadelphia police officer with the 19 district is recovering after being hurt on the job. the sergeant's cruiser slammed into a pole while on his way to help another officer. the officer is being treated at penn presbyterian hospital. we are told his injuries are not life threatening. a woman was able to escape her burning apartment in strawberry mansion this morning. she lived on the 2700 block of west lehigh avenue. neighbors called 911 around 10:40. the woman made it out on her own. we are told she is okay. the cause is under investigation. the political world all abuzz this morning after new jersey governor chris christie

announced he is endorsing donald trump. the announcement came yesterday in front of a big rally in fort worth texas. the endorsement is first for trump from a sitting governor and rival. this was an endorsement that meant a lot. chris is an outstanding manual with an outstanding family. he has done a great job. after that stunning announcement in texas, trump and christy jetted off to oklahoma city. oklahoma is one of 11 states to hold a primary on tuesday. america needs a strong leader who is going to restore american strengthen around the world and donald trump is that man. of course, the million dollar question is, what is in this for the governor. analysts are speculating that christy to be gunning for a shot to be trump's vice president. trump is front runner, but marko rubio said he believes he

can slow down the momentum before super tuesday. the florida senator lashed out at trump during a rally in oklahoma friday. senator cruz acknowledged that trump could steam roll through tuesday with big wins. the polls open at 7:00 a.m. in south carolina where voters cast ballots for presidential nomination. all signs point to a sizable win for hillary clinton which could catapult her into winning position. bernie sanders spent friday in south carolina and off to texas and minnesota. back here at home, philadelphia police have arrested an alleged church burglar, police say they caught the man lying in wait inside a church. this morning yoko ono is in the hospital being treated for flu-like symptoms. they was taken to the hospital last night. her representative said the

83-year-old went to the hospital on the advice of her doctor and likely be released today. we have details on the deadly shooting in kansas, 38-year-old cedric ford was issued a protection against abuse order 90 minutes before going on the violent rampage. police say he shot 14 people and killed three of them. the shootings were random according to police, 28-year-old sara hopkins was charged with giving ford the guns used in the shooting. 6:42. a horse trail ride accidents in houston, texas caught on camera. we warn you the video is graphic, but we know the person injured is expected to be okay. something spooked the horse and the kid on the wagon. you can see the horse ran into another horse knocking the woman to the ground. she may have a broken bone, we're told. a the wagon plowed into a police car. everyone is okay.

thankfully. let's get you caught up on the forecast, meteorologist chris sowers as you plan your saturday morning. >> reporter: let's get you outside, those shoes will be zipping along tomorrow afternoon as temperatures climb into the 60s, as we get you outside this morning, blustery and chilly with temperatures in the 20s with the winds feels like the teens and you can see a little bit of high, thin cloudiness upstairs. today is a nice looking day. double scan live is clear, the month of february we had one cold week. week one was warm, temperatures in the 50s and 60s, week two was the polar vortex. from that point on it's been all right. we had a couple of days where it's been chilly, but most of the time temperatures have been above the seasonal average. you take all 26 days up to this point, not including today,

tomorrow and monday, you average them out, they are 2.3 degrees above where we should be for this month. that's coming off december's whopping 11 degrees above average and january 1 to 2 degrees above average. this month has not been too terribly bad. we'll take it coming off the last several winter. 28 degrees, dewpoint, 11. winds out of west at 8 miles per hour. you combine the temperature and the winds feels-like temperatures of 20 degrees. allentown, present temperature reading 26. reading, 25. wilmington, 25. millville, 23. trenton, 24. wildwood, 28. factor in the winds, though, it feels like 31 in wildwood. feels like 18 in trenton. 19 in millville. 19 in reading and feels like 11 degrees in the poconos with the wind, so, again, it is a blustery start out there. satellite and radar, the angle in the sun is much higher in the
