fine here right now. keep in mind at 11:00 p.m. they will shut down the vine they will do so the next four nights as they set the new beams into place, overnight closures resume on the vine this week. midday construction resumes along 422 westbound this morning at 8:00. that happened each day last week and gave us delays we're expecting again each day this week. midday delays westbound 422. on the eastbound side we're getting word of a crash along 422 approaching sanatoga. it doesn't appear to be impacting the speeds a whole lot just yet. of course we'll keep you posted. this is 42 you can see northbound building volume 295 to the walt whitman bridge. the good news this area comes in over top 42 where creek road was reopened. it was closed throughout the weekend for construction. creek road is reopened and ready for you. delay on 42 doesn't look too bad just yet.

we had overnight construction bear, delaware, 896 southbound side at denny road everything is cleared out. highway one through bear toward christiana by the mall. most speeds in the 50s and 60s. no complaints there either. i-95 looking good through new castle county. no major problems traffickerring through the maryland state -- traveling through the state line toward wilmington. if you're riding mass transit, we had add -- adjustments on the west trenton rail line. patco had weird schedules on saturday, but everything is on time at this point. sports expressways running on the broad street line, we have double events phils and flyers in action around 7:00. you know how that goes, a lot of extra traffic along broad street and i-95 and the schuylkill

expressway near the sports complex. go down to the at&t station get out there and you can walk over to the wells fargo center or the bank whichever game you're heading to. meanwhile, construction continuing in perkiomen township along 29. we'll talk about that in a few minutes. two people are in custody in connection with a robbery that led to a shooting of a police officer in philadelphia. annie mccormick is live at penn presbyterian hospital with the latest on the officer's condition. >> reporter: matt, that's right, two people are in custody, police say there could be a third out there. officer mccullough is here in stable condition. police are saying because of his quick actions he may have saved his own life. he put a tourniquet on his leg after he was hit. they were flagged down by a female who indicated that two males were breaking into her

car. that's how it began at salford and market. two officers on patrol sprung into action. when they pulled up they saw the two males in the vehicle, the male saw the police car and they started to exit and started to run. >> reporter: mccullough tackled one suspect, and he was shot in the leg. he applied a tourniquet and his partner rushed him to penn presbyterian hospital. a heavy police presence grew outside the hospital. commissioner ross and mayor kenny were there support him. he looks good, he had strong handshake. it's a dangerous city out there. >> reporter: he is a young officer 24 years old.

currently on the force to two years. his family is by his side. he has a young daughter two years old and fiance, as well. back to you. we're so glad he is going to be okay. new this morning, we're hearing the dramatic police radio call made by officer mccullough's partner as shots were being fired. police shut down service on the market frankford el and set up a grid search of the area before taking the suspects into custody. a gunman ambushed and shot officer jesse hartnett back in january. the man allegedly pledged allegiance to isis. officer hartnett has undergone

numerous surgeries from the bullets that tore through his right arm. he threw auto the first pitch at the phillies game and proposed to see girl friend. detectives say a man confessed to accidentally shooting and killing his 4-year-old daughter inside their home at the kensington section. maw --maurice philips faces manuals charges. he accidentally shot his daughter while handling his gun. bill cosby's wife camille is expected to be questioned under oath in connection with to the defamation lawsuit filed against him. they claimed bill cosby branded them always liars after they went public with sexual

another, we're along route 1 the super highway the trenton morrisville bridge. traffic is moving swimmingly. northbound come the headlights toward mercer county. what i want to warn you about between the trenton morrisville bridge and perry street there are round the clock restrictions all week. one in new jersey, mercer county you could find delays. across the river in bucks county, southbound traffic heading toward langhorne and northbound traffic heading toward new jersey moving just fine. there's a crash in montgomery county harleysville area main street 63, oak drive. no big issues coming down from here northeast extension quakertown and landsdale. 422 by hanover street, police on the scene, as you come away from stowe, berks county, 422 expect

slowing at hanover street. paving work continues at route 29 perkiomen valley high school 9:00 a.m. to 3:00. this is in advance of the graterford road bridge on friday. this coming friday the graterford road bridge reopens. problems in schuylkill township starting this past friday, pots house road is closed around the clock. this is the first weekend morning commute without it. route 23 will take the brunt of the detouring traffic. three people are on the mend after gunfire erupted in west oak lane section. the gunmen fired on the 600 block of sydenham street at 1:00 a.m. three people showed up to einstein in a private car. at the scene, police found a shell casing and cash on the

roadway. detectives are trying to sort this out. the death toll soared to 272 a devastating earthquake in ecuador. 2500 people were hurt. the president declared a national emergency following the magnitude 7.8 quake. more than 135 aftershocks followed and more are expected in the coming days. the death toll in japan has risen to 42 following the devastating earthquake. disaster officials say more than 180,000 people are now staying in evacuation centers. the twin quakes had a ripple effect beyond the disaster zone. toyota suspended output due to disruptions with suppliers. a muslim student is demanding an apology after being

in custody, but there might be a third that police are looking for. this is one tough police officer. police tell us that after he was shot in the leg, he continued to fire off more shots in the direction of those suspects then he tended to his own wound by putting a tourniquet on his leg before he was rushed to the hospital. this is the scene salford and market where gunfire erupted between a robbery suspect and philadelphia police. it started with a woman flagged down two officers on patrol. two men were breaking into her car. they exited the vehicle and started to run. officer tackled one of the male. instantly he was shot in his left leg, the male got up and started running northbound on salford street. the officer pursued him and fired three times. >> reporter: after after

24-year-old police officer james mccullough was shot he managed to fire off shots himself and applied first and i would to see leg. he applied a tourniquet himself because he was bleeding profusely. his partner went to his aid and brought him to the hospital. >> reporter: two suspects are in custody neither was hit by police bullets. police commissioner ross and mayor kenny and members of the 18th district filed inside the hospital in support of officer mccullough. he looks good, very strong, we had a conversation and he had a strong handle shake. it's a dangerous city out there. >> reporter: we saw two 18th district police officers pull up and go into the hospital. his family is up there, he has a 2-year-old daughter and fiance. he is only 24 years and been on
