bloomquist is off and in the news, a jury member is dismissed from chaka fattah's corruption trial. what that means for the case now. and disturbing new details about the nightclub attack in orlando. the final messages between the shooter and his wife. first, we are following breaking news a philadelphia police cruiser was just involved in a crash. chopper 6 hd is live over the scene in northwood on the roosevelt boulevard. we are told that two police officers were hurt and we are working on finding out more about their conditions and what cause sd the crash. we'll bring you updates on air and online at 6abc.com. we'll continue to monitor that situation for you. our other top story is the arrest in a hit and run that injured two teenagers, police say that the boys were struck by a car while riding a bike earlier this morning. the man behind the wheel is suspected of drunk driving, katherine scott joins us live from the scene in spring garden.
>> reporter: rick, that is right. police say that the 34-year-old driver appeared to be intoxicated and was taken in overnight for a breathalyzer, the two teenagers were taken to the hop and one was in stable condition and the other was in critical condition with severe head trauma. >> this morning police bagged evident from the scene of a hit and run crash in spring garden that sent two 16-year-old boys to the hospital. two teens were riding their bikes and on the same bike when they were struck by a red sports car that appeared to be speeding. >> the impact was so severe it caused the front tire of the bicycle to be torn from the bicycle and that landed 50 feet north. >> one suffered severe head trauma and the other a broken leg and medics rushed them to the hospital and minutes later six district officers located
this black lexus on ridge, and it has front end damage and witnesses positively identified the car and drive. >> he appeared to be intoxicated and had a long order of alcohol coming from his person. >> and there was a 25-year-old passenger in the lexus that appeared to be intoxicated she was speaking to the officers as a witness. detectives are hoping there is footage that can help them in this investigation. >> katherine thank you. family and friends are gathering to remember rising pop star and south jersey native, christina grimmie. the singer was shot to death last friday as she signed autographs at a show in orlando. it will be followed by amemorial service, grimmie grew up in mar ton and graduated from cherokee high school before she was
discovered on youtube. they believe her killer was an obsessed fan. and investigators are finding out more about the gunman in the orlando massacre be his wife's potential involvement. and the grieving community is laying to rest more of the victims. here is the report from the site of a growing memorial. >> reporter: this is where the president and vice president left the flowers, the memorial here is still growing another day of deep grieving here in orlando. grieving families, saying final good-byes, some of the 49 victims killed in the orlando nightclub massacre laid to rest today as we hear from first responders. their stories of heroism and rushing into the horrific scene sunday morning and saving lives. >> it was a chaotic scene at best. >> in the midst of the terror we are told that the killer, omar mateen, asking if she had seen
the news expressing their love for one another. now they are on the no fly list as the fbi investigates. the fbi has yet to comment on the alarming claims from this owner of this gun store saying the gunman stopped in wanting to buy body armor and ammunition, they were immediately suspicious and refused to sell to them and called the fbi. >> it was sad we had him that close. that close, and law enforcement could have gotten their hands on him. >> law enforcement says that mateen's wife was with him when he bought ammunition at another store. marcy gonzales, channel 6 "action news." a south carolina community is marking a somber anniversary today. it was one year ago that nine people were killed at a bible
