"action news" at 12:30 continues. with rick williams, sara bloomquist and meteorologist, david murphy. and we are following developing story the second half hour in burlington county. where there say murder-suicide investigation underway right now. officials say ruben johnson jr. fightsly shot his wife lashonda and their son and took his own life. there on sun flower circle. it happened last night at 10:00, the motive is still under investigation. we'll continue to follow the story and bring you the latest

online and on "action news" beginning at 4:00. the jurors are in place and opening statementses have begun in the trial for pennsylvania attorney general, kathleen kane, accused of leaking grand jury material to a newspaper and lying about it under oath. katherine scott reports. >> reporter: the judge started the day giving jurors instructions and then time for opening statements here at montgomery county courthouse. lets go to video of kathleen kane arriving at the courthouse this morning. the prosecution was up first and painted a picture of revenge that kathleen kane was upset about bad publicity she received for not pursuing a particular case. kane believed former prosecutor frank fina was behind the

article and that he directed him to look into the case and a transcript from a grand jury investigation that should have remained secret and established an article in the separate paper. kane says it's ridiculous and denies any arguments, she says she did make some mistake buzz they were honest not criminal. and they called the first witness. the trial is underway and expected to last about a week. katherine scott, channel 6 "action news." surveillance video shows the violent crash that killed a 3-year-old in philadelphia. you see a honda accord traveling at a high rate of speed and collides with a honda civic, two

individuals and a child was in the vehicle and the child later died at the hospital. they are looking for a vehicle followed behind possibly racing the accord, it may be a chevy impala according to police. state identified victims as alberts albertson, and the husband was behind the wheel when he went off the eastbound lanes of route 70, the vehicle hit a tree and was split in half. no word on what caused the driver to lose control. one of two women shot last night in camden remains in the hospital in critical condition. both were taken to cooper hospital after the incident on the 800 block of south 6th street and no arrests have been made and police have not released a motive in the

shooting. now to the 2016 presidential race. the nominees and the running mates hit the trail but there is controversy stemming from a hillary clinton event in florida. the father of omar mateen, the nightclub shooter in orlando is the man in the hat standing behind hillary. he told reporters that he say democrat and was there to support hillary clinton. the secret service says that everyone that attends the rally goeses through strict security. and donald trump continues to talk to a new economic plan today. it will produce annual growth of at least 4%. trump is trying to solidify his gop base becoming increasingly vocal about his fitness to be president. and some say they will not support trump in november.

the latest information and storm tracker 6 live. just a day after a 10-year-old boy was killed on a water spark slide in kansas, three girls were thrown from a ferris wheel in tennessee at a county fair. now they raise the question of park rides and how they are regulated. >> very three kids that fell from the ferris wheel. >> a trip to a county fair ending in the emergency room for three girls in tennessee. >> i feel bad for the little kids. they just screamed a little bit and hit the ground and were just laying there. >> the car the girls were riding in some how got caught on another one just below of it, turning their car upside down sending them 30 to 45 feet to the ground. >> two girls were alert and answering questions, i can't tell you if the third was or not

but the third child does have a head injury. >> this morning an investigation into the incidents underway with all carnival rides closed until further notice. meanwhile in kansas -- >> it was a loud boom boom. i knew immediately that someone had fallen off the raft, eyewitnesss revealing while riding the tallest water slide in the world caleb schwab was thrown from the ride and died of a neck injury, two others in his raft suffered minor injuries, two years ago the inspections of this slideshowed people going airborne prompting them to add safety belts before the ride opened. >> turns out water slides are the most dangerous at parks. reporting there were 7200 water slight injuries last year alone.

channel 6 "action news." >> well, the computers have been fixed but the problems continue for delta airlines, the airline had to cancel another 300 flights today. the disruptions canceled about 1,000 flights yesterday after outages at delta airlines. delta still handing out travel waivers to passengers who were stranded. >> kennedy and jefferson health took the next step toward a merger, signing an agreement to integrate at a ceremony in stratford. it allows the deal to move forward for state approval. the commitment expands existing memberships in kansas care and medical care for patients in the region. there is it much more ahead on "action news" at 12:30, he is a mysterious 10-year-old with no family who claims to live in the woods with a giant green dragon.
